    Dark Knight Oblation change for fun playstyle and survivability

    Greetings ^_^

    I have an idea for the Dark Knight, that from my view would make the DRK lots of fun.

    might already be similar ideas, but I too lazy to look through all the forum posts

    (Oblation), sry to say, but I think this Ability is slithty useless, with TAB target, it's annoying to target a PT member in the heat of battle without a macro, and I don't want more slots taken on my actionbar. >_<
    so let's be a little realistic, I most likely use it on myself, but it's only 10% not really great, when DRK already have other Abilities that are way better.

    so my Idea is, what about make so it gives a 10% total HP for 15 sec stack 2 times for a total of 20% total HP for 30 sec, and it should cost 25 blackblood, I think that would be fun to manage, just like managing MP for Damage or defense, as of now DRK only use blood for Damage, kinda boring...

    and also make the 10-20% increased HP buff count for when using (The Blackest Night) so keep up the buff for more HP and then use (TBN) for maximized survivability.

    KBM players just click the player in the party list.

    Gamepad players just cycle via DPad. I've never heard targeting as a complaint for Oblation or any mitigation before.

    Costing blood would be a damage loss and its use would be discouraged. The game has moved away from tying defensives to damage. One of the #1 complaints from many DRK mains is TBN still being tied to damage - this is why Oblation isn't just a trait for TBN like the other tanks' abilities, since TBN's bulk is bad when you're potentially gambling 460+ potency.

    Oblation could use with changes, like a lot of DRK's kit, but this isn't it.

    Oblation needs to be the upgrade of dark mind. Get rid of dark mind and make oblation 20% with a hot. DRK needs something for in between when tbn busts and it can be reapplied or when resources run out since tbn still costs unlike other tanks short cds that shield/dr and heal.

    after playing with it, oblation is fine for use between TBNs in pulls and great to mitigate tankbursters together with TBN, a hot upgrade for dark mind instead of the unmend passive would be a good idea, so dark mind does something in pulls

    So you want to nerf Oblation's already low reduction by changing it into a weak shield AND make it cost blood so you straight up lose dps from using it?

    That's a yikes. No thanks.

    Better yet, give the pvp buff that DRK got to pve and it will be instantly better. Enough for me to overlook the abomination that is enhanced unmend (like seriously, wtf is that bullshit).

    What if oblation had a microcosmos effect. Take 10% less dmg for its duration, but are healed for 300% of the mitigated dmg when the effect ends either as a regen. That would make having 2 charges very effective, as you could role them for high dmg phases like wall to wall pulling or mass AOE savage content. Also its a very unique style of sustain that is different and =/more powerful then even wars would be with a down side of not being up front. It also synergizes with a shield like TBN.

    No, never tie any mitigation to a dps resource. That is exactly what everyone hates about TBN now.
