    If this fixed your issue, please do reply so I can be aware that this is indeed the cause and it has to be one of the dumbest customer issues I've seen in managing something on the scale of product keys.
    Sadly no, even when I asked my friend who lives in the same region where I registered my account to.
    I have tried everything and seems like I have been flagged by some weird error WITH NO EXACT EXPLANATION OF WHAT GONE WRONG AND TRIGGERED THE ERROR.

    I hate how it went like : "Hey you got an error, bye."
    No explanation at all.

    Got an "escalation" whatever that means. Dunno how bloody hard it is to just apply a code to my account, but I'll be surprised if I'm back in the game by the end of this week. This is ridiculous. Mind you, I'm not blaming the CS folks for this, but it's absolutely bizarre how this entire system has been setup in the first place. I'm not trying to make a purchase, I'm trying to use the code I got off my steam account that's already associated with this service account.

    Generally speaking, I think the purpose of this step is to verify the ownership and birthdate with your SE ID, so passport should suffice. Due to different work requirements, some people are required to work at different locations/countries, so that's why I am of the opinion that the name and birthdate should be validated.

    I've been following this thread since last Thursday since I was in the same boat. I got my case escalated last Thursday and every time I contact them they said nothing but your case is being reviewed. I decided to try again tonight (after 24hrs since last attempt) using an old MacBook(I brought the steam version) and somehow the system worked. Maybe you guys can try something like this?
