Why does it close the client?

yeah it's really annoying, especially if you get 2002'd on start screen so much that you lose your spot

I went from 3300 to 2200, then to 4400 to 500 and 6200 to 5000, now back to 5600... All because I couldn't log in back in time, many times because I get multiple 2002.

That is what's prompting me to ask this question.
