I've been playing MMOs since 2009 and I'm no stranger in being left out of such "quirky" promotions because I live outside of the US.

Guild Wars 2, TERA, The Elder Scrolls Online and Star Wars: The Old Republic all had their fair share of events or promos that specifically catered to their North American audience, but even so... players from other countries would still be able to benefit from it through friends, family or even public giveaways (by members of the community or content creators). I've lost track of the amount of promo codes I was able to claim in Guild Wars 2 despite the promo in question being obtainable by US citizens.

But why is such a silly thing as a "Pizza Emote" region-locked? Even though I live in the EU, I do play on the NA servers and my group of friends from there is a mixed bunch (US, CAN, EU, AUS) who were planning to mess around with said emotes thanks to our US buds.

This comes off as tone-deaf. There's already a sea of complaints regarding the long queue times and server instability, so this is just rubbing salt into wound.
