Sound Cracking (All Audio, Not Just In-Game)

Greetings All,

I've already seen multiple posts regarding the sound cracking/popping/stuttering after 6.0, and I'm also having this issue (returning player from a year ago, never had the issue before.)

However, I also noticed the problem extending to all my system sounds while FFXIV is running (waiting in queue.) It's obviously being caused by the game because if I close it, all good.

Regarding my system and drivers, I'm not going to list all that unless someone asks but everything is up to date, I've tried all the fixes people have mentioned, fps isn't an issue it's just the audio, and regardless of how high or low I set settings it doesn't make a difference.

Has anyone else had the audio issue extend beyond the game while it is running in the background?

Yeah i have the same issue, i can't even mute the game and listen to something else, it's ludicrous.

Well, glad to know it's not just me then, haven't seen anyone else post about it affecting all their audio not just in-game, thus making this post. Here's to hoping with all these posts about audio issues it gets a hotfix sooner rather than later.

I have found that for the last week even without the game running my sound would sometimes just not work even though the speakers are on, and I would have to unplug the speaker cable from my PC and plug it back in again to get the sound back.
I have also been trialling the Immerse Gamepack for a week and after uninstalling it the issue has not repeated so far.
