I have nothing to back this up, but my suspicion has always been that A-ranks are tuned to be cleared with a Full Party, and S-ranks probably tuned to the equivalent of a full Alliance.
Should they be tuned higher? I suppose it wouldn't really hurt anything. But otherwise, they still fall into the "working as intended" category.
I don't mind about people not waiting on things. I do find it disappointing that you almost never see mechanics on older hunts though and when you do they're not even remotely threatening.

I wasn't advocating for "waiting" longer, personally I prefer to go fast on pulls (as soon as touch down) the issue right now is the lag and congestion impacting people's ability to get there even though many of them are trying their best. And the s ranks just melt, they're not even fun to do. In small parties you see a bit more but not much.
As an example, here's a video off my twitch showing how fast the S+ rank died...

Exactly one minute. Reminder this is supposed to be an S+
The minion scaling makes sense because you have a set time to engage them and have to split the attendees into four groups, so killing them in time during low attendance times (which won't be for a while anyways) was a problem before, but I don't understand why, in the minimum ilevel gear, they're melting this quickly.
In comparison, here is an S+ spawn with similar attendance numbers at the start of SHB, lasting about two and a half minutes

In light of the fact that this expansion - Endwalker - also came with a novel stat squish that no other previous expansion has seen, I think Louvain's feedback is completely reasonable. All other history aside, her statements here are true. The elite hunts this time around are poorly tuned for the playerbase as compared to previous expansions' marks. And I include all players in that, be they opportunistic cheaters utilizing third party ToS-breaking software or the people who actually put in the (sometimes hours of) work required to engage this content at all in the first place.
At the very least, the Endwalker Elite Marks should be considered for a rebalancing of stats to better match previous expansion experiences, while factoring in the recent stat squish and unprecedented number of active players.
The actual core issue with hunting is that while the developers intended for hunts to be a free-for-all, the fact that a technically limitless amount of people can get full credit from a hunt led to it becoming much more of a communal activity then they were anticipating.
It would be far better for them to actively support what it's become and make it more accessible via changes like being able to check whether a hunt's spawn window is open/closed, adding grace periods before S ranks can be attacked so spawners don't get screwed over, and applying some kind of damage scaling to older hunts so they don't melt and on-level players can participate.
The sole QoL changes we've received so far are just the B rank tracker and the S rank spawn notifications, which while mitigating the advantage third party app users have over normal players isn't nearly enough when they're now effectively like a giant hivemind that instantly knows where a hunt is if one of them passes an A rank or enters a zone with a S rank.

Adding onto this, typically A/S ranks have very high HP. S ranks from ShB reportedly had more hp than the boss from Eden Savage floor 8 (refulgence). That is not something an 8 man party would typically choose to fight on their own, especially when you have the option of getting more people in for equal rewards and faster kill timeThe actual core issue with hunting is that while the developers intended for hunts to be a free-for-all, the fact that a technically limitless amount of people can get full credit from a hunt led to it becoming much more of a communal activity then they were anticipating.

Hunt system sucks and I've given up on anything dramatically being done to it because I know SE doesn't give a damn so long as there aren't huge angry mobs.
In my dreams 7.0 has a whole new take on the hunt system, or at the very least stops people from crossworld hunting.
Well, the second wave of S ranks started spawning on Aether after they "fixed" the hunt sniffing apps, and now the instances are hitting player counts of 200+ in less then a minute of something spawning.
I really think it would be a net positive to just disable the ability to interact with hunts while cross-world at least temporarily because things are getting melted even just with the localsshowing up.

Eh. I'm still of the opinion that cross-world hunts shouldn't be a thing at all, not temporarily disabled. I haven't bothered with hunts in forever for multiple reasons, and them just poofing out of existence the moment they spawn is one of them. Also, ya know... the trolling. No idea if it's still happening, but it wouldn't surprise me.Well, the second wave of S ranks started spawning on Aether after they "fixed" the hunt sniffing apps, and now the instances are hitting player counts of 200+ in less then a minute of something spawning.
