    It's really not that unreasonable. Plenty of people wait for new launches to become more stable before they start playing. They even announced that we would have trouble logging in well ahead of time so that if someone wanted to, they could let their sub lapse. What's unreasonable is that people somehow expect them to be able to conjure server hardware out of thin air because that is essentially what they would have to do given the chip shortage.

    Shouldn't have registered the CD Key then. In 2021 you should know that most software is not refundable once opened as the CD Key is invalid upon use and it its impossible to prove if it was used or not. And the software is definitely not refundable if you use the CD Key. SE told us all the way back in September this launch was going to be messy. You have been claiming to have had issues since Feb when you joined the forums. Why are you still buying the expansions and paying for a sub if you felt you issues were not addressed? This is like going to the same Mcdonalds that gets your order wrong every time and you continue to complain demand refunds but continue to go there. You are an individual that just wants something for free that's it. If you have a legitimate technical support claim put it in the tech support forum. If you want a refund contact SE directly. Stop posting the same crap on the forums FFS no one here can fix your issues.

    Cause I do what I want.

    Also based off all the posts he has made that I have read he is complaining about reimbursement, and technical issues with dx11 errors, error 2002, error 3001 and error 90006. Which is why i recommended if he has a legitimate technical issue he should post it in technical support, if he wants to address reimbursement contact SE directly. Making multiple threads and even trying to turn legitimate threads into a bunch of whining and moaning about the current log in situation is getting old. Everyone knows at this point as it has been a week since EA. My motive is to inform him that no one can fix his issue in these forums time to move some where else and stop posting about the tired subject of the log in queues. If I had the guess the individual there likely is not even trying to log into the game or has an active subscription I think he is just trying to troll.

    Look, the simple matter is this. No one's feelings on the matter are invalid and everyone has a right to be upset, but when you peel away all the anger coming from every side in this ongoing argument stretching across multiple forum threads, you're left with this:

    1) Be patient and wait for SE to try and make things better by narrowing down the 2002 errors, or for enough time to pass (most likely another week or so) for the queues to start dropping significantly.
    2) If APPLICABLE (As I realize this isn't an option for many), use time off from work or rearrange schedules to be able to log in during non-peak hours.
    3) Unsub. Vote with your wallet. Square is a publicly traded company and FF14 is a commercial product. Consumers vote with their purchasing power. The clear ToS and policies make it so you're not entitled to a refund, and I understand that may be frustrating, but you can remove your sub from them. Then either come back when everything is more stable, as you already own Endwalker and just need to reactivate your sub, or don't because this experience has soured the game from you.

    Beyond all this anger, all the fighting, all the complaining from EVERY side in this, those are your choices. There's no miracle that just makes everything better instantly for everyone right now. I don't mean to sound harsh, but that is the reality of the situation.

With that being the case, I think it's time for them to start offering refunds to those who want it for Endwalker. In regards to game-time, they've the done the right thing by giving the 7 days, and I'm sure they'll continue to do so until it gets fixed, so no worries there.

    It's a shame this has happened, and I feel for the dev team. The folks I know who have actually gotten to play the game are really enjoying it, and there has never been a bigger audience for this game than now. Sadly, they have not been able to accommodate that audience. Therefore, it's time to do the right thing, admit the product isn't working as intended, and offer refunds to those who feel they deserve them - because they do.

    Obligatory: No you can't have my stuff. I don't care if you feel that we didn't need another post about the log-in problems. I also don't care if you feel that we did need another post about this. I'm a consumer of the product with a right to give my feedback, and this is the channel for doing so.

    You tell somebody else to stop lying, but you keeping posting misinformation yourself. I think if you stop yourself then you might lend yourself a little more credibility.

    Your comment about Square Enix not fixing their servers, given you've been shown this is not true because their servers are not broken. So I think by now, we can call it willful misinformation or...a lie.

    It's relatively easy to confirm the plausibility of YoshiP's claim that they cannot get a hold of servers. See here, here and here.


    The servers aren't broken, they're being overloaded. To solve that they need more servers.

    We do the exact same thing in the industry I'm a developer for (eCommerce), when Black Friday comes around and our servers get battered from people trying get Black Friday deals? We spread the load across more servers.

    You get 7 days free play time which is absolutely enormous considering the game has barely been out 7 days and that was announced 2/3 days into the game.

    You know the queues were going to be absolutely nuts and they have said after the Asmongold rush that servers were getting strained and the hardware situation was making it excessively difficult to expand.

    The OCE Data Center will spread the load, just wait.
