    Honestly, I feel like they gave out that warning to people so they could unsubscribe if they didn't want to deal with early expansion launch issues. Like they delayed the expansion and announced congestion and stability as a concern to why they were delaying it and they did it roughly a month before EW launch, so people could have their subs run out before launch if they wished.

    And besides, what would they refund exactly? Game time? They give out free game time that ends up essentially with the same result. Surely you don't expect them to refund the purchase of the expansion itself?

    Look, I know the team is working hard and apologizing, but the fact of the matter is that they have sold a product to many members of a consumer base who simply cannot access it."

    This is very true. The law states that if the product is not working, consumers can take that product back to the retail store where they purchased it. Online sellers are also obligated to refund the defective products. At this point, anyone who invested in the game and cannot log in due to the congestion/failure of SE to adequately cure this issue in a timely manner should be refunded.

    Let them all go get refunds, more room for the rest of us with renewed subscriptions.

    The above is based on the law, so any dispute on that issue is hot air.

    I think if people want a refund, it should be available if it can be available. There's a lot of trickiness I think with the logistic of doing that. If you bought it from the Square Enix store I think it a refund would be easier because they could probably have an arrangement with their own company's store. But there will be many who bought the game through other vendors with their own refund policies. It seems like "free game time" at least is a form of compensation that's fair regardless of where you bought it from.

    However, I'm sure many still want to play the game who're struggling, things will die down and it's not so much that you've bought something you can't play, it's you've bought something you're delayed from being able to play. We had a 2 week delay and one way to think of it is that it is another delay and there are people saying that's what they should have done (not that it'd have helped). There's nothing stopping people from waiting before they play. It's what I did with Cyberpunk 2077 and did with Baldurs' Gate 3. I've not with Endwalker, but then I've been able to play.

    But, I guess if people really want to walk and be done with it completely, that's up to them instead of waiting and then I hope options become available for them. I don't think anybody is entitled to it and I think a lot of it is people throwing toys out of their pram, but then people like yourself are being more reasonable about it, so I am more inclined to empathise if you're just wanting to quit it altogether and cut your losses. But I kinda feel like a lot of people who ask for a refund come back in 2 or 3 weeks and are just calling for it because they're angry and frustrated.

    Bear in mind there's going to lots of people grinding the MSQ, people who have take the week off of work to play and so on. We've already seen a dip as the week has progressed or at least on my data center and I'm on the server known for having a huge population. Once enough people are caught up, you might find a portion of those people only log on to do their dailies, or just generally play less.

    This is what normally happens in an MMO launch and the same for an expansion, the congestion dies down and eases.

    The product works just fine though. Accessing the product is also covered under the agreement that it's impossible to grant you access at all times, which is held in court over peoples tears of unable to play. People had ample opportunity to refund all during the early access, yet they did not. And yet they keep wanting a refund, even though they had time to do so before.

    If the game was broken and unplayable, sure. But the game runs great, if you can get in. It's actually been the most stable I've ever seen to be honest. But again, queue's suck, but game works just fine.

    Incorrect, you'd just have lost the earrings. Meaning it shows you never tried. It's not harassment, but the truth, since I have refunded since got it on the wrong account like a derp.

    Are you suggesting that people who don't own Endwalker can play with no queues and errors? I really hope not because if you are then that was a really ignorant statement. Also waiting a week or a month as you suggested after paying for a product to even use it is unreasonable to do or even expect someone to do.
