I feel like refunds has a whole huge amount of background noise with all the payment processors and stuff like that...... so I'm not entirely eager for that, but I do think something done is needed to be seen as the right thing to do, and particularly continue to compensate people during the rough period.
If possible additional alleviations would be nice, but ultimately probably not nearly as helpful as getting the equipment needed (and we know about the issues around that).
Like... "just pick me a server with the shortest login time that is within my continent" (or whatever limiter for ping sake, though maybe some people don't even care about that lol - "just let me play, let me in!!"). Maybe if you use this automated system it will automatically give you a few of the most common FC buffs (to compensate for your loss of FC).
Of course not getting kicked while in line. Etc...

It's kind of ridiculous at this point. I haven't complained or anything, but after almost a week of this garbage, AND after several maintenances, it's just so frustrating. I mean first it was the constant disconnects. You'd wait in que for over an hour, get almost to the end only to disconnect either to 3001 or 2002. The former you just have to keep spamming connect and pray that you make it to a low enough que whenever servers come back. The latter, you MAY get your spot restored, but more than likely it wouldn't even let me connect back to the server.
Forget the fact that I had to disable authenticator for a time and lose my free port because putting that in every time i disconnect became a hassle. So after 5+ hour queues for almost a week, at least upon entry I was able to get stuff done. NOW, I have constant disconnects within the game itself. So even getting into the game is no guarantee you'll have time to do anything as at any pivotal moment, boom, you're out. Back to the que. Today I get disconnected right in the middle of prime time when I purposely rearranged everything to make sure to que up before that time. Doing so on a lower pop server mind you, making me unable to access retainers, storage or FC, all because I'm trying to reduce que times.
I'm sure I'll get ridiculed for this because God forbid I say a bad word about the devs or makers of this game. But enough is enough!
I don't mind paying subscription for a game when its great; and Endwalker is great. However, the price I'm paying, and one no one should pay is this:
After working all my day, I sat my computer to finally enjoy the only few moments I have to enjoy myself, I face this. After waiting 45 minutes with the queue at 1809, I got an error 2002 and that was
the result after I tried to login again. THIS is not the service I paid for; THIS is not something anyone had to pay with their soul. And nothing, absolutely no fix for this issue, and it seems there will none.
Seven days of free subscription is a beggar price Square Enix is giving for something so begrudging like this, and I will not forget this.
Can I cancel my subscription paying and get my money back and return like 2 months later? If its possible, I would, because THIS is disgusting. Its like SE is serving a gourmet beef in plate made of calcified shit.
Just to further add, trying to log in with the character in another world gets me this:
Fantastic Square Enix. Fantastic.

As I see it, the problem is not buying a game and not being able to play it when you want to. You buy a game, you don't have to rush it right after the purchase, you can play it later (there's a thing called backlog). The problem is paying a subscription and not being able to play. I finished MSQ, but I feel for the people who really want to play but can't and they're paying for it.Remember, game doesn't run away just because you are delayed from playing it.
The people who are stuck on login queues, the people who are still doing work and can't play due to scheduling issues, the people who are currently playing another game for other reasons, the people who are still going through Shadowbringers and previous expansions --- those are the people who will end up doing the content with you if you wait a bit. Honestly, I'm not in any rush to complete Endwalker. I'm honestly enjoying it at the pace I'm going at, and I'm not very far in.
It's expected that a new expansion is going to have a rush of people trying it out. It's not as if the new experience is going to disappear if you wait a week or a month though. There's plenty of people who are still coming to FFXIV and going to try it. The next patch isn't until for a very VERY long time, and by then, the queue issue should be settled down. Your experience with the content isn't going to change much if any.
I'd love to finish the MSQ, but keep getting stuck behind the lovely 2002 error. Wait for 30+ minutes of refreshing "FULL countdown" only to get booted out with 2002 and having to start all over again (doesn't matter how fast I login again - it's not saving my place).
Square Enix Devs - How about you FIX it so we don't get booted out to 2002? I don't mind waiting for an hour+ to login, but having to login multiple times with immediate kicked out attempts is just unsatisfactory.
- Just drop some Gil on goodies.
I love the game. I really do. I just want them to fix this que issue and the DC's. If I were to uninstall and stop giving Square Enix money I would just be bored, and I sure as hell ain't going back to the booty grabbers. Damn that.
Square just needs to come up with some ideas.
The game is just data Square was aware they was selling way to much copie and the servers could not do the job and the are continuing to take new subs and sell copie so for me no pity people who what the refound shoud have the right for it. If they wants to play later they will just have to buy a brand new key. The release date was december 2021 not somewhere in 2022. Peoples who bought Cyberpunk 2077 got refound cause the game was trash at the release it was not yeah but it will be fine in a few month so deal with it until we fix it.As I see it, the problem is not buying a game and not being able to play it when you want to.
