90006 Error

Was in Labyrinth of the Ancients, just finished boss. I clicked the exit and got 90006 error.

I checked, was not lag or my internet. I remember this from old issues, running ARR raids with to much server input. So basically looks like we leave server for raid instance but get back, and no spot for us in our data center after raid!

Sad part is I wait hours to log in - finally get in, start my daily duties and get an old dungeon that should be stable, and it isn't.

Now, I have a 4k queue - like really!!

You need to fix the old issues cropping up again and/or make it so we can at least get a early queue spot for none afk kicks!

I began getting this error today myself. Got it once first thing this morning when logging in, and then was fine for most the day until now. Now I can't even stay in game for more than a minute before freezing and getting this error and sitting in the que again. Feels like this is likely an issue stemming from them adjusting players based on volume to different instances or servers (like between dungeon and instance servers). Still, it has been a frustrating launch when it comes to connection issues.

Yea I'm getting the 90006 error as well. I'm thinking of just dropping my sub and playing another MMO for a few months until SE gets this sorted out. SE knew SHB was popular and knew that they needed to upgrade their servers/cluster for 2 years now. If you think they didn't know this was going to happen well you are very wrong. They know very well what the max compasity is. It's called stress testing and load balancing. Furthermore they need to add another line to current data Center and a new cluster of servers/network hardware to accommodate the surplus of users.

Honestly I don't think this issue is going to be resolved for a while. It definitely won't resolve itself with having free trial and a new content.

They knew their clusters were reaching maximum b4 launch of SHB. Upgrades were needed then but now they have to shell out $$$ for upgrades if they wish to retain their current player base.

Yup, they could have begun updating their server infrastructure well before the pandemic cause shortages of components. But with all developers, they invest "just enough" and only "when it's called for" on server updates because the company won't sit on those costs as it can impact the short term shareholder value even though it will provide greater longevity and long-term shareholder value. But no one seems to understand the fundamentals of economics like that and short-term gains tend to be sought more than the long-term gains and stability.

So trying to due the lvl 87 Duty in Broken Glass. 2 times I got this error on second phase with Alisaie. This is rather annoying considering waited in queue to get on 746 about an hour wait, after 90006 1246around hour and 10 min, and now 1911. Not only is this roadblocking me from progression I now am almost guaranteed have to wait another hour and half till i get to try for a third time and hope i dont get another 90006.

I started playing a few months ago and this happened to me for the first time today. I have experienced this several times today, and have never experienced before.

It seems like they are experiencing packet loss on nodes within regions that are experiencing higher traffic than other regions. Since SE has no buffer for packet loss it automatically drops the player and throws out a 90k error causing the disconnection. This issue will get worse as the load increases in regions with nodes dropping packets.

I was having this error almost everyday before Endwalker dropped. Didn't have any issues during early access but they are back again today for me.

I renewed my sub thinking "surely the delay was worth it". Well KINDA. Today marks the first day that I've been booted nigh on 10 different times. I love this game, but I think I may have renewed my sub too soon. Hope they get it fixed. It's been an awesome story so far.
