And the interesting thing is, "Elpis" is greek and means "hope". Elpis was locked in in Pandora's Box together with many other bad things. Zeus told Pandora that she should give the box to mankind as a gift. But the box shouldn't be opened. But Pandora herself opened the box and all the bad things escaped, Elpis was the exception because Pandora has closed the box too fast. So all the bad things affected the mankind and because hope was locked in in the box, there was no hope for mankind.

??? Elpis was the highlighht of the expansion. Enjoyed every single minute of it and the cutscenes after the end of the dungeon till you get back to the crystal tower were absolutely epic.

I havent finished the msq yet; but Elpis is already my most favorable story segment. I was given a chance to spend time with likeable characters and learn more about the ancient times.
Tastes are different sure yea, but I wouldnt want to miss this moment ever again. It was hilarious and full of fantasy.

I skip every storyline that has a ‘hand out 3 (insert item) to 3 people nearby‘ quest in it.

The ‘look for 3 people within the orange circle (which one of them is usually hidden in a smart way)’ template quests are a hot contender as well.

Top-tier zone in the game, gpose heaven, and arguably the biggest turning point of EW. Elpis is a dream.

The pace of EW had been great up until now, but my god what a slog.

I have to disagree. If I were to highlight a noticeable criticism of Endwalker I have despite my enjoyment overall, it would to say the pacing isn't great. Several segments, like Thavnair and the Moon—specifically the loporrits—drag considerably without much reason. Meanwhile, Elpis is, arguably, my favorite part of the entire story. Perhaps only trumped by the lead up to the finale. Which works because of everything Elpis expands upon. Maybe they could have trimmed a little here or there but at no point was I losing interest compared to say, the aforementioned loporrits where I actually wanted to just get off the moon.

So while I agree Endwalker has pacing issues. It wasn't in Elpis.

I feel that one of the main issues i have with EW is they are trying to wrap up all loose plot and lore ends so they can move on to the next storyline,so it can can feel kinda messy at times. most times i say it works but when it doesn't it really shows....
