Alot of changed since 2.0, and the final dungeon seems quite outdated gameplay wise.
I think out of all the 2.0 content the Praetorium could use some shine and re-work.
This is just my opinion though.

I mean, I think it would be nice if 'Castrum Meridianum' and 'The Praetorium' were turned into regular 4 mans, with the final fight against 'Ultima Weapon' being a trial, follows the pattern of the following 3 expansions then (not at the end of Endwalker yet so not sure how that one does it.)
Most of the cutscenes in Meridianum could be replaced with NPCs running around in instance. Praetorium is a little tougher to tidy up, but most of Gaius speech at least could take place after the new final fight but before the Ultima trial.
All that though, while nice and neat and tidy, isn't really necessary.
Honestly I'd love to see Castrum and Praetorium turned into "baby's first Trust dungeon."
You won't wanna bring in like, the Scions or Raubahn or Cid or anything because that'd require re-doing a lot of cutscenes to fix up dialogue, which means new voice actors, etc. Just make the NPCs something generic like, "Flame Thaumaturge" or "Serpent Conjuror" or "Storm Marauder" and adjust roles as needed. They've shown they can program the AI to work on *much* more complex fights and zones, so it's not likely to be a technical thing.
If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.
FOR DOCKHAND!
They're both long overdue for it. Like, I've always said they absolutely never should have been 8 man dungeons in the first place. Prae and Castrum should both be solo duties. Losing the big chunk of exp from afprae would suck but the place is just horribly designed all around.
