I want to ask something (SPOILERS FOR EW MSQ)

I may be dumb to understand but there is something that bugs me. We are told Zodiark has been summoned to prevent the final days. But the flashback confirmed it kinda didn't? (the flashback where Venat had to sunder people). So okay, Venat sunders people (still don't get why, like why would it stop final days?) and she creates Hydaelyn. Though why? Anyways, Hydaelyn imprisons Zodiark and creates world anew, i think. But why does impriosining Zodiark stops final days? I don't get this. What did she do to stop it? If final days are a result of emotions and Metetion, why did imprisoning Zodiark stop it? Like, what did Hydaelyn do to stop the progression of this? I might be dumb and missed a plot point but i don't think it is explained why Zodiark stops Metetion in some way? We learned she can erase people and make them not being born. So she is kinda a bigger threat than Zodiark himself. I don't get how a primal summoned stops the final days tbh.

Zodiark halts the Final Days, Hydaelyn puts him in stasis so he will continue doing that.

The details of what the Final Days are were explained on the moon, along with Zodiark/Hydaelyn's contributions.

Think of the two primals as machines. Zodiark creates a barrier, Hydaelyn maintains him and ensures he operates within spec by way of stasis and sundering.

Meteon isn't stopped by Zodiark. It's more that Zodiark wards against her influence while she's out of reach in deep space.

This is why everything gets exciting so soon after Zodiark goes poof.

My question is that though. How do they halt or prevent final days if it is caused by Metetion? It is not logical to think she just sits at ultima thule and waits for Zodiark to die. She could have killed them herself since she really wants every existence to die (or rather not born). But we don't get an explanation why summoning these primals prevents final days. Like what is their deal to prevent dynamis?

yeah i get that but i don't get why zodiark prevented final days. like what did he actually do? we were just said "it was summoned and that stopped final days" but how? if final days is caused by a different force that being dynamis, what do they do to stop it?

The astral aether, the most outer source of the planet was weakened during the events on the moon. Not sure if i should continue as it would reach level 90 territory.

Think of the aether sorrounding the planet as a protective shield against influences from space. Kinda like our magnetic field on earth.

I'd suggest getting up to the final boss to understand more of Metetion's reason for inaction, but I'll point to a vague trope of the overconfident villain.

There are gaps in the world's aether, which is where dynamis can more strongly influence things. Darkness is about growth and change, meaning that while he's doing what he's doing those gaps are not left open long enough, if at all, for her to do anything.
The sundering was more a double edged deal not entirely relevant to what Zodiark was doing if I recall correctly, wasn't fully awake by the time some of the stuff was explained. By reducing the aether that people have they become more vulnerable to dynamis, but can also make use of it to have a fighting chance.

hmm oki. i am at the last region but didn't fight her yet. thanks. i just feel like there are a few things unexplained in detail. maybe it is just me. like, i don't get how venat creates a primal herself that can oppose to zodiark which was created by sacrificing literally half of the world. anyways, i will finish story. thanks for answers

I'd say Zodiark's "tribe" would see Hydaelyn as oppositon, but Hydaelyn's "tribe" would see her as "support" or "control" for Zodiark.
