yeah i get that but i don't get why zodiark prevented final days. like what did he actually do? we were just said "it was summoned and that stopped final days" but how? if final days is caused by a different force that being dynamis, what do they do to stop it?

There are gaps in the world's aether, which is where dynamis can more strongly influence things. Darkness is about growth and change, meaning that while he's doing what he's doing those gaps are not left open long enough, if at all, for her to do anything.
The sundering was more a double edged deal not entirely relevant to what Zodiark was doing if I recall correctly, wasn't fully awake by the time some of the stuff was explained. By reducing the aether that people have they become more vulnerable to dynamis, but can also make use of it to have a fighting chance.

that would suggest aether is more powerful than dynamis since dynamis cannot effect the places where aether is strong. but then again it corrupts people's aether and turn them into beasts. so it suggests it can destroy aether within people but it cannot destroy world's aether? There are gaps in the world's aether, which is where dynamis can more strongly influence things. Aether is more powerful only due to the volume of it. Think of it like water and fire. A little bit of water will be evaporated by fire, a lot of water will douse the fire. All dynamis could do to the ancients was cause misfiring of their magics, which admittedly can be pretty awful when said magic is "playing god". Modern people, lacking in aether, can be torn apart by it instead. This is why it's double edged that they're sundered. Less aether means crap like that happens once the planet's aether is out of the way by removing Zodiark, but on the other hand it's why there's even a chance to fight back since modern people can make use of dynamis themselves.that would suggest aether is more powerful than dynamis since dynamis cannot effect the places where aether is strong. but then again it corrupts people's aether and turn them into beasts. so it suggests it can destroy aether within people but it cannot destroy world's aether?

SPOILERSThe astral aether, the most outer source of the planet was weakened during the events on the moon. Not sure if i should continue as it would reach level 90 territory.
Think of the aether sorrounding the planet as a protective shield against influences from space. Kinda like our magnetic field on earth.
As Sorimachi87 touches on, Aether cannot interact with Dynamis and Dynamis cannot permeate dense Aether. Zodiark was an Aether producing battery providing a shield to not allow the Dynamis energies to to seep into our world. Once that shield was removed, as you know, the effects of Dynamis and bird girl's influence over it started taking form on our world.
