You got to understand, most of the people agree with you, and think this is unacceptable how they handle this. It is just that this game has a cult, and that cult is VERY loud.

Yes. How dare we bring valid criticism to the table. Square promised us a product, and they did not deliver. I do not care if the game runs smooth if I can't even login to play. It's been a week and the sweet hour and a half today before the servers got pulled down sure was fun, but absolutely not worth the 6,7 hours today that I had to queue for it? They should not have pushed this release, knowing what they know, and could have delayed as long as they wanted. It's out because they wanted your money, and the end of the fiscal year is approaching. This has been badly managed, and it is absolutely fair that the players are allowed to be disappointed. Anyone claiming that upset people are toxic and just coming from another game are just spreading their own unique brand of crap. People are allowed to disagree, and allowed to be unhappy. This experience has been a miserable one and I expected better. We all did.

There is a difference between criticism and baseless accusations and attacks on the company, its workers, and the game that many of the complainers are committing in a childish tantrum simply because something is inconveniencing them.

And it's posts like yours, trivializing the "inconvenience" that we've been dealing with, an "inconvenience" that SE was well aware would happen. I will defend Yoshi-P in this every time. It's not his decision to purchase/rent servers. That's 100% on SE. So to sit there acting like SE doesn't deserve the loathing they're getting for issues they had years to prevent if they would use the money FFXIV makes on FFXIV instead of keep their other franchises on life support, is insulting not to just us, but to you as well. Have some self respect.

You do know the shortages started happening in 2020 right also slowly growing and huge spikes arnt the same.

Please tell me, how SE could have predicted the mass exodus from WoW, and a global pandemic that has caused supply chain shortages for hundreds of industries across the globe?

there is a giant lever at SE that can turn off lag and server queues but the company is TOO CHEAP to hire an employee to pull the lever. if i was the ceo of SE i would have definately hired a person to pull the lever which would have actually made the company more profit and this is why i am definitely the smartest person ever. just so you know i have max level characters in a lot of games (non-boosted) so now you know that i am a supply chain / logistics / networking expert and that my idea of having an employee of pulling the lever would have made the company at least one thousand dollars profit. smh i cant believe SE doesnt even want to fix it or even do a server maintenance just because they are cheap

We really need to calm down sometimes and let SE do whatever they can to fix this. The lengths they go to explain situations to us is astounding.
Other than that Krotoan summed it up nicely.

I know people want to play and only have like 1-3 hours for example, which isnt possible with the current queue. But the maintenance and everything they did before launch showing, they care.
