Equitable access to FFXIV

Can you guys implement a system that prioritizes the queue based on hours played in a 72hr period?

I work a full day, parent at night and game when the kids are asleep. I should be prioritized ahead of other players who have consumed the shared compute resources WE ALL ARE EQUALLY paying for. I realize this is similar to the stamina meter in 1.0 but desperate times call for desperate measures.

It's already a load of bunk that I can't get a refund for my prepaid sub.

It's unfortunate for you, but everyone pays the same sub and has the same rights to play. I work a busy schedule and play when I can so I get it, but I would never have the audacity to suggest that someone else should have to give up their own play time in order to cater to my less fortunate availability.

If some of the posts on the forum are anything to go by, using any emote or socializing during these busy times should, apparently, be an instant 30 day ban for the offender.

Equal is not the same as equitable. What I've proposed is not equal and it's not satire. It would create equitable access based on life circumstances.

I recall in a live letter where Yoshi-P thanked health care workers and was proud of the work they were doing and humbled that FFXIV was a place they could destress. Unfortunately, COVID is still a thing burdening health care workers and I'm sure they can't log in like me either.

So this is the moment where SE wants to decide how to ethically handle this.

Economically though since I play less than my friend who plays 15hrs a day, my sub generates SE more profit. So purely from business sense, I'm the player profile SE should prioritize to keep the sub.
