Hey all,
Looking for a place to post this, seems like Twitter doesn't get responses from SE so here I am.
I think most players are on the same page and recognize that SE can't do much about the semiconductor shortage and understand that as a result very long queues are going to exist for quite some time.
This leaves many of us in an unfortunate predicament, however. In the past, I have only had an hour here or there to login and play - and I imagine there are many others like me. It's simply unrealistic for me to wait in a 3+ hour long queue when I only have an hour to play to begin with.
I've tried to combat this by logging in as soon as I get home from work - but sometimes the queue is still too long for me to be able to play, even if it doesn't crash and kick me back to the end of the queue. Or on the other end, I once got logged in, but wasn't ready to play yet, and by the time I was ready to play I had been logged out due to inactivity.
It would be great if there was a way to join the queue or check your status in the queue from the companion app, or even if it could send a push notification when your character logged in. This would make it much easier for me to start the log-in process when I leave work for the day, and hopefully be logged in by the time I am ready to play.
You could do something like, if you join the queue from the companion app, you have to then log-in at your computer within 30 minutes of reaching a certain point in the queue or otherwise forfeit your spot in line.
This could also help combat frustrations with the errors; a push notification could be sent if you are removed from the login queue for any reason, so that players can attempt to rejoin the queue within the allotted timeframe to avoid losing their place in the queue.
This would greatly alleviate the strain on players like myself and make it easier for me to log in and play for an hour here or there; I would just have to plan ahead a little more, which I don't mind.
Hoping for some feedback. Thanks![]()
