MONK is to confusing / annoying of a class now

Before i used to know the rotation like the back of my hand without even having to look which form I've opened up.

Now....its waaaaaaaaaaaaay more confusing with the new system.

All of the people complaining about positionals will find this class even more painful now. Also i bet they arent even trying MONK. They are staying with their ranged characters.

Monk is so bad now.

What do you guys / gals think?

I find it pretty overwhelming to learn coming form physical ranged DPS, but with practice on the new concerns (AOE, uptime) it should be fine. The beast chakra system feels sort of tacked on.

Im still struggling with this new stupidity. When I activate Perfect Balance, and I use Snap Punch, it doesnt even put me in opo-opo form.

Monk is so bad now.

Also perfect balance cant even be used before we attack / hit the boss. ... dumb.

Maybe that's why you were overwhelmed.

MNK is probably the easiest melee currently imo.

I kinda feel same way tbh, removal of positional made it easier to do normal rotation, but aligning CD has been quite confusing since burst sequence don't repeat in 1 min intervals anymore from what I've seen in the Balance.

I'm reluctantly leveling monk out of obligation to the class. I really wish I had put the time into leveling dragoon or ninja which are looking way better but I had to atleast try Monk. I've already gotten 90 reaper which is a million times better.

Class is super simple, but very fluid. If blitz was ogcd I think it wouldn't be as painful, but having been a monk main for the past 8 years and to play in it's current state is just painful.

It's not that it bad, it's that they tried to give it a new identity, which they have every expansion. Heavenward, in my opinion, was its peak. All they could of done was add new cool ogcds and monk would be fine.

I think permanently unlocking forms is what really kills it. Under perfect balance sure, but the ability to do it all the time makes it too unstructured.

As for blitz, there is way too much groundwork to do to make it work. It's easy enough to use, I just find that I have to go out of my way to properly use it. If perfect balance had a 3rd stack or blitz didn't require perfect balance to even set up blitz would be just fine.

Positionals I loved, it what really defined the class. Sad to see it gone. May change since community is not the happiest with it.

Job has some good ideas just poorly executed. It will need fine tuning with current system or its gonna get yet another mid expansion rework. Most monks miss the pre-stormblood kit of rotation with tons of ogcds. It's been asked but it's been ignored. So anyone's guess what they want Monk to ultimately be. I wouldn't be surprised if by 7.0 blitz being changed to some action button and some new system taking its place.
