Loader freeze

FFXIV loader seems unable to bring up the sign in screen fully. When I click on FFXIV to start, it goes past the patcher, and then stops at the log in screen, the loading icon (circle) on the bottom left corner halts. The loader remains like this, just the white window, but with no username/password boxes or any of the usual details therein. I've reinstalled the client, turned off firewall, ran as administrator, followed all the suggestion in the Square Enix support center, updated drivers, rebooted PC and router. Still no go when trying to access the sign in screen. I am not re-installing for the 2nd time and patching up the game again with hopes that it's just some weird glitch. Help?

Try this, open Internet Explorer and go to settings, security, and set it to medium (or make an exception for XIV), this will work when people are unable to get to the page where they can enter username and password but instead gets the page for maintenance.
