Casual players locked out of FFXIV for indefinite time!

In short: if you are a classic working adult with a classic set of responsibilities, your classic hours of gaming time likely are in the afternoon or evening. Furthermore, you are rather unlikely to start your hardware up before you want to jump in. Now add to this that a general session length anywhere from 2 to 5 hours and .. yea, need I go further?

This problem pretty much extends to anyone who wants to do more with their daily time then to log in or keep beeing logged in or babysit a login-queue just to play at a time it generally is most convenient. The classic time where you used to meet your ingame friends and do something together with your FC-friends.

The situation of course might differ from region to region and server to server. But for my world, Shiva EU, traditional casual evening play is just flat out impossible.

If you are one of those players that likes to play in the evening with your friends without going any lengths to make sure you are logged in at those times, you will, if you pre-ordered, have gone 10 days now without being able to access the game.
And you likely will be locked out from playing for what is weeks to come.

Now, is there anyone that has a solution for this besides: just log in early. Just play early. Just quit work. Just quit sleeping. Just quit your relationship. Just give those kids away. Just skip meals with your loved ones.

Pretty difficult, right? But in all honesty, can you expect people to leave a relaxed evening dinner a few times to afk in a game so they do not log out after they maybe managed to log in just some minutes ago after a 4 hour queue so they might be able to play in the evening? That is just absurd. It is wrong.

Even knowing that on a technical level this can not easily be resolved, I just wanted to kinda push into the "extremes" a little bit to kinda give a counter position to the strong defence Square does seem to have on it's side. And as a lot of people said already: giving people 7 days of time back is ... maybe a wellt intended gesture? But in the grand sheme of things, it is absolutely laughable.

So to some measures to appease customers: As long as those problems exists, people need to accumulate free days without even asking. I mean if people can not log in during their possible time window, they realistically are locked out of the game. However, this is very far from enough. People are going to be really, really unhappy about this kind of prolonged, bad situation. Thus there needs be a really big "something" extra.

    *sighs*
Yea, kinda realistically speaking. This somewhat is the worst time I ever had with the game. The time I could play I was kinda forced to play without my friends. When they play, I am not there. Now that I am back to my working shedule, there is actually no real way to play anymore. That ain't ok.
