Thank you.. For years, I've been trying to poke my cursor though the crowd, sometimes taking minutes to slick the target. Now, it's just Num0 once to pick and verify the target and again to interact with it.

As mentioned above, holding down X and then clicking the NPC or active destination spot also works. I've often had to do that when trying to access vendors or quest givers with more than 5 or 6 player characters gathered around them.
