FF14 has come a long way since the atrocious sidequests that made you "fetch" and talk to NPCs literally next to each other. It was enough for you to not care about it and just skip all the dialogues. Some were better than others and there were sidequests which I refer to secondary quests where they are big chains and worthwhile like the Hildibrand questline.

The side quests in Endwalker are tailored differently. So far, there are stories to the characters, not all but many and it adds to the lore and moment of the game. There is personality added to the texts and even you, as a player get to respond with a multiple choice answer be it serious, sarcastic or neutral. The end result is always the same but it gives more of a roleplaying feel and perhaps more life to the game itself as it feels like you can connect with the NPCs in a more personal manner.

Kudos to those who worked on the sidequests! There are new creative elements added in Endwalker for questing and it's a joy to complete them as I slowly progress through the main story. I will continue to take my time and savor it all.

Thanks for always improving every aspects of the game instead of just releasing new content and calling it the day. This is the only game that seems to do it with heart and in this corporate world we live in, you're in no obligation to do so but you do it anyway. Again, thanks for putting a lot of effort and hard work into the side quests!

PS. I look forward to see the next adventures of Hildibrand and other major sidequests
