    (DRK QoL Change) Please change Salted Earth from a Ground Target AoE to a player buff

    Obviously, there are a lot of DRK threads going on right now, but I have yet to see any major discussion of Salted Earth by itself and think this QoL request is extremely reasonable without added discussion. This ability in of itself is probably one of the worst abilities in the current DRK kit. The game's movement has increased dramatically since HW and the inability to reposition this ability after being placed causes inconsistency problems. To make things worse, there is now a reactive ability, Salt and Darkness, on top of Salted Earth which can lead to some serious damage loss if you mess up your placement of Salted Earth.

    The biggest QoL change that can make this ability great would be to simply attach it to the player and turn it into a buff that gives us an aura that looks and behaves the same way it does currently in-game on the ground. That way it can be used in almost all circumstances consistently regardless of the encounter design and mob movement. Having it remain a ground target AoE will always cause it to be dramatically inconsistent with the varying encounters in this game. Furthermore, it would make using Salt and Darkness far more reliable.

    Also, to add to this, I'm aware that it just places on the ground where you're standing now instead of being placeable, it's no longer a ground target AoE and just a ground AoE. I'm just not used to the EW change yet and referred to how it used to be placeable on accident in the title.
