Square Enix, Can you please implement a way to cancel world hopping queue?

I tried to go world hop today to hang out with some friends in another world and go check out the other marketboards while waiting. It's only when I tried to exit Limsa Lominsa, did I realize I've been in queue for a while and the world teleport function hasn't gone off yet. I looked at the queue and realized over 40 people are there waiting for the queue as well.

So I'm sitting there, waiting for 15, 30 ... 45 minutes while chatting with random people in Limsa. Then I asked around to see if anyone else is waiting for a transfer, and some people said they were waiting for over 2 hours for the queue to pop and they're stuck in Limsa, not able to do much or go back to their home world.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. As of writing this post, I'm 1 hour and 50 minutes in queue with no way to exit. I figure the return trip is going to be worse and going to be a nightmare to get back until peak hours end (which... should be soon I hope).

So I'm asking SE, can you please implement a way to let the player cancel the world hopping queue in the future if it goes beyond 5 minutes?

Log out and log in will cancel world visit queue. You still not be able to visit your home world unless doing so during less-prime time, obviously, but you can now do other things permitted for visitors, including duty finders, move to other areas...

I mean, it's a solution, but it's not a good one at the moment for a lot of people, especially during prime time.

While I do agree with the sentiment, if you're stuck waiting for transfer, what's the difference between that and stuck in queue? Either way you can't do much of anything.

I believe if you click on the world visit in your duty list you have the option to cancel it. World Visit works just fine outside of Prime Time for the most part.

But you CAN already cancel out of the queue?

Just click on the top right, above your duties where it tells you what position you are in and it should give you the option to cancel out of it. I have done it like last week, so I know for a fact that feature is already in.

It definitely already is. I used this feature while stuck in Famfrit jail trying to get back to Ultros.

I think that FF14 doesn't work that way. Visiting another world is basically like hopping to another server. If that server is full, then you can't go. The same thing happens when you're returning to your world, if your world is full, then you have to wait in line like everybody else. I don't think there is a solution to this other than putting you at the front of the line when you're transferring back to your home world. But hopping between worlds is probably something they would want to discourage so more players can play on the server they are designated for. That's why only a certain amount of characters are limited per world during character creation. If you need to visit another world unfortunately you'll have to wait until after 11pm and before 3pm EST.
