We've had probably 6 tonight Crashes tonight alone, he's been kicked out of every instance we've joined together with a lovely DirectX 11 10000002 error. Back to the login queue, he's spent more time in the queue waiting to play thanks for DirectX 11 errors than playing together.

There's soooo many reports of this issue and nothing from SE, at all. These forums just exist to quell public opinion not help anyone.

Now we get the same DirectX 110000002 crash everyday, every instance. I've tried every fix on this forum and a dozen others, nothing helps. It makes the game completely unlovable when ever single instance is a DirectX error crash and a login queue. All because we were foolish enough to buy a new video card. The GTX 1060 video card we had run perfectly, never had an issue just was slower after all these years. Then we got a brand new off the shelf RTX 3060 Ti V2, and now we are punished where ever single day every single instance, my husband's game crashes while mine using our old GTX 1060 works. Not a single other game in our 100+ game library crashes, JUST FF14. Hell since I started posting this happens more than ever, before he got 2-3 a day, now it's 1-2 ever single instance. It's like FF14 is targeting him

I also have the same issue with DX11, random crashes that seem seem more common mid fight possibly when loading lots of different effects (no frame rate issues and GPU is running cool).

No problems with other games and haven't found any issues when running various tests (Memtest, Furmark, OCCT stuff)

If I use DXVK (DirectX to Vulcan converter) the crashes seem to go away but this technically breaks the EULA so not without risks.

My system: Ryzen 3700k, Radeon 5700XT, Asus X570 motherboard.

Where can I setup DKVK? Because there's like no other solution to this issue.

Hello, and good evening people of Final Fantasy XIV. I'm currently having an ongoing issue that I've faced since the release of Endwalker, yet has gotten worse with the introduction of 6.01.

I've been plagued with constant DirectX 11 errors. At first, before 6.01, it would only happen when I logged out of the game itself. I wasn't too bothered by it, considering I was done playing the game at that point. However, since the newest patch, when I launch the game, it immediately errors out at the age rating with the following code:

I did various 'fixes' that was meant to remedy the situation, however, none have served as a permanent solution. Things I have tried:

-Updating Drivers

-Rebooting PC
-Reinstalling Drivers
-Reinstalling FFXIV x 3 (Worked once, but at relaunch, error)
-Lowering Audio HZ
-Running FFXIV in Administrator Mode
-Changing compatibility modes
-Adjusting Firewall
-Running in DirectX 9 (Worked for a while, but lag caused it to crash)
-Fixing Registry Errors
-Using CCleaner
-Checking to make sure FFXIV is in C Drive
-Lowering in game settings
-Limiting in game FPS
-Unplugging Headset
-Setting default sound to current through audio settings for FFXIV
-Disabling Overlays
-Closing all programs other than Steam and FFXIV

THINGS TO NOTE

I have dual monitors. FFXIV is on Display 1, while everything else is on Display 2. My headset says AV Virtual 7.1, I'm unsure on the brand since it was a gift. I've been monitoring temperatures, but considering the error strikes before the game can fully load, I doubt this is the issue.

Through various experiments, and attempts to work around this issue, I've come across a discovery. I can still play the game with the error code active, HOWEVER, I do NOT have any sound. My PC is not even a year old yet, and runs other games like a dream. I'm not entirely sure if the issue is on my end, or not. Here are my computers specs:

I've spent over 8,000 hours in FFXIV, and I would absolutely be heart broken if I have to quit due to these errors... Please, find the issue and fix it. I've never had issues until Endwalkers release. (Aside from bugs that popped up from time to time again that's been patched out.) I love this game and it's community, I can only hope a solution can be found soon... Also, sorry for the lengthy post, I wanted it to be as detailed as possible to find a solution.

Wait, wait wait was going to weigh in on technical stuffs but does DXVK really violate the TOS?

Huh? Wat? That is next level nonsense if true.. DXVK does not modify the game it is translation layer and necessary if playing on something like Linux. I.. cannot even. If anyone I know speaking about this is banned because they chose not to play on Windows I am sorry but not sorry Square that will be it for us.

I did a clean install of Windows 11 and my issue has not re-occurred since then.

Still needs to be fixed. Shouldn't have to clean install Windows for a games bug.

For new people posting in this thread, PLEASE post the FF14 system information output. We need as much data as possible, not "I have the problem too" with nothing else written.

So another DX11 11000002 error with the following changes:

Disable Fullscreen Optimization on ffxiv_dx11.exe
Lowering graphical settings to Standard (Desktop) (which turns off reflections/SSAO)
Capping FPS to 1/2 refresh rate (goes down to 82)

Next test:

Borderless Windows ONLY

Some stats for the crash:

It's technically modifying game files so it's against TOS. It's like the Cosmetic mods that only change what you see. They are against TOS but as long as you don't talk about it they wont do anything about it.

And before anyone suggests a bunch of red herrings: latest video and audio drivers, no overlays whatsoever, overclocking turned off makes no difference, nor does installation drive, and I don't use a multichannel headset (stereo headphones only) whatsoever.

It's a transition layer between DirectX and Vulkan. It doesn't modify the game code at all, nor even come close to touching it. Please learn about something before presenting misinformation.

Unfortunately, DXVK doesn't work for me in this case, despite having a useful impact in other games; FFXIV reports running at 90 frames (where I have it locked), but the frametiming is all wrong, and it feels more like it's running at 30. Unfortunately, the devs of the project don't care about anything outside of linux despite such a tool being extremely useful from the Windows side of things, as well, so there's not much to be done.
