I got hit with the errors when I first tried to load the game this morning.
I did the soft reset of settings and updated my video card driver.
The game then launched correctly, but I finally got hit with the garbled audio output on my bluetooth headphones. Switched to speaker sound and it was fine....
Got the Dx11 error as a Christmas present, I've tried this list of stuff since then with no luck,
Reinstalled game on C: through D:
Removed GPU drivers and reinstalled them.
Deleted local data.
Removed all overlay apps such as ICUE, Xbox, Discord and Steam.
Changed audio source.
Removed dx11 and reinstalled.
No controller being used.
Used CCleaner to wipe files.
At this point the only thing I've not tried is wiping all drives and reinstalling windows but that's such a hassle for a problem that's been going on for this long. Side note the game just opens as a black screen then pops these error codes,
ffxiv_dx11.exe+14BC9A5
ffxiv_dx11.exe-1515478
ffxiv_dx11.exe+1ECABA
ffxiv_dx11.exe-93F74
ffxiv_dx11.exe 17912D
ffxiv_dx11.exe 179363
ffxiv_dx11.exe-9230F
ffxiv_dx11.exe-561B5
Potential Fix:
I used windows start over function and wiped my C: drive then reinstalled all drivers and runtimes before redownloading FFXIV can confirm it's working now with none of the errors above displaying.
Same with me, no response on my forum post so commenting here to keep this thread bumped, also issues since 6.01 when loading up the game i get error and can't play
I used to crash all the time with the dx11 error, and since I was playing a lot of ranked 4v4 Feast pvp this was unacceptable and frustrating since each DC means I lost points.
The only fix that worked for me was downclocking my GPU to 70% power limit with MSI afterburner. I have never had a dx11 error after that. It seems ffxiv does not handle overclocking, or even just regular out-of-the-box clocking well. Note that if you bought a high-end premium GPU, chances are it comes slightly overclocked out of the box.
The tiniest lala.
This just started happening to me after upgrading from 1070 ti to 3060 ti. I can barely play for 30 minutes before Fatal Directx Error 12000002 and it crashes to desktop.
I've tried everything above outside of Underclocking which seems a bit much when every other game I've tried runs perfectly fine.
Even underclocking I'm crashing. Game is now unplayable and I was just on the final quest of Shadowbringers.. so thats great. This just started happening to me after upgrading from 1070 ti to 3060 ti. I can barely play for 30 minutes before Fatal Directx Error 12000002 and it crashes to desktop.
