    Summoner Egi and Carbuncle needs a movement speed tweak.

    Like the title says the summons needs a bump in their movement speed. I often find my Egis not being able to perform their attack before despawning due to the enemy moving, even an enemy that is walking can sometimes outpace my summon. It is not the end of the world but it can be frustrating.

    Totally agree. Ifrit lags behind by yalms.

    I recommend placing your carbuncle ahead of time with the [Place] command & [Heel] after you are done with the fight or want the Carbuncle to get close to you. That way, your Carbuncle will be in range to hit the enemy even if the enemy moves a slightly out of its initial range.

    Pet skills are not an oGCD or a GCD, so you can target between casts and during your hard-cast GCD. (You probably should hotbar [Place] & [Heel] via Actions -> Pet Hotbar if you don't like manually clicking on the Pet Hotbar).

    Ideally, you do this for all jobs, but both SMN and SCH (the two pet jobs) have to position their pets as well to get maximum use of them. Positioning is more of a soft skill to master, but a skill you want under your belt nonetheless. I'd say SMN might be more simplified compared to its previous iteration, but it puts a bit more emphasis on actually controlling your pet compared to before now, making it an actual 'pet class' while having the Big Summon job fantasy.

    That's not the issue op is referring to. If let's say a tank is mass pulling and I use summon titan. Titan will try to follow and hit the mob targeted. Three things will happen:
    1. Titan will chance the mob and do his attack when everything comes to a stop
    2. Titan will do his attack as the mob is moving and hit only one or two targets
    3. Titan will despawn because he couldn't reach his target in time.

    In bosses it's not so much of a issue but sometimes when you summon your ego takes awhile to get the boss and the boss may become un targetable in that time frame and it will cancel the attack

    Ok I see what you're saying. Yeah I just tested that out. I've ended up confusing old egis with new egis in my memories for a moment. Also disregard what I said before, it turns out egis now desummon and resummon based on where you are at. That's really irritating imo. Yeah the Summoner egi definitely needs a movement speed tweak, and ideally a resummon back to the same location too.

    Yeah it's annoying until you get the upgraded versions at 90, since Titan and Ifrit egis need to be in melee range to do their hits. When they are upgraded to full summons they just cast a PBAOE centered on the target from a distance, which is way better.

    Sadly this. Another issue with the redesign. Primal do enkindle at range yet they could bother fixing the Egi code to have them enkindle at range.

    Well it's still an issue because ultimates and level syncs are a thing and it's still need to be fixed for new players
