Sadly, no. It's not a meme. People honestly believe that Square Enix does not have the resources to upgrade their servers and that they couldn't do anything in their power to fix this situation. It's the twitter mob mentality.

About the queue system, I do think they can improve the queue to be able to auto-retry if errors like 3001, 2002 and etc happen, and also don't completely shut down the game if an error 2002 happens.

But this is not something they can implement overnight and probably won't be able to implement in time to fix the early access/first few weeks of EW. This is something they must improve for future patches/expansions. They did improve the queue system and honestly, the queue system itself (on the backend side) is not the main issue here, IMO the problem is that the usability of it is bad, the fact that it closes the client and doesn't auto-retry makes us have to babysit it in fear of 2002/3001 errors and going back to the end of the line if we don't come back fast enough.
