Had the game crash on me (fatal DirectX error) at the end of the cutscene between the final dungeon and final trial of the MSQ. Now I'm waiting through a 3800-long queue after getting booted to the back of the line midway through a 3400-long queue to get back in and finish it.

It shouldn't be hard for the server to tell if someone logged out voluntarily and thus assume that if someone disconnected without doing that they had some sort of crash, error, etc. and give them a grace period of ~15 minutes or so where they can log back in without having to wait in a queue (it's been a long time but I'm pretty sure World of Warcraft does this.) Yeah, this makes the wait in line a little longer for everyone else, but so does making it so that you can't lose your place in line due to errors, and I'm pretty sure most players would rather wait a little longer but be sure that once they're in they can play until they want to stop than get in a little faster because people ahead of them got unlucky and spend their playtime low-key stressed that they'll have to go through another queue because they in turn got unlucky with a crash, line reset, etc.
