Why has nothing been done yet

What is going on? Giving us 7 days is nice, but its to be expected at this point. I mean, I cant log in to the servers. Regardless of missing out on the head start time which is also crap.

I have been waiting in que's every day since blizzard tanked their PR. How the hell was this not expected or prepared for?

They have been telling us for months about all the server upgrades and world transfer improvements. Why do we not have temporary servers to log into yet? They pointed out the ability to log into different servers strait from character select, it means nothing though if every server world is maxed out.

Just frustrating that there has been no communication of hope since this all happened. Just wait it out, and it will get better. At least it sounds like they will continue to compensate me for the game time I am losing.

My guess is, because of the severity of the problem and bad publicity, that whatever the team is considering has to be run by and blessed by corporate. The more serious the issues and possible damage to the company, the more people that get involved and the more careful they are about what they're going to do. Corporations don't rush in crises.

It may be worth mentioning that there is no "quick fix" for this issue. They can't deploy new servers to handle the increased load due to the massive superconductor shortage that has affected all electronics. There has been some communication from the lodestone just yesterday when they announced the 7 day game time. Since then, I presume they simply don't have any additional updates they can share with us. Things will get better, MMO launches always eventually do. It sucks, but such is the way with new expansions.
