When I come home at 7 pm I stare at a queue of around 8k players waiting, even if I do not get disconnected I face around 4 hours plus to wait. By that time i have to go sleep because my night ends at 5:30 am.

So common sense for me is, if SE is not able to provide a service worth the money, they don´t get any money from me unless they are. I do not care 1 cent why they are not able to. I am aware of the semiconductor shortage, I work in IT for over 25 years as a system engineer. Where I work we suffer from that too, but you know what, our customers don´t freaking care too, they care about us providing the service they paid for. That´s how business works, it does not work with excuses.

Honestly what is that with gamers excusing every- and anything so easily, you are customers and you and your money is more worth than Square Enix is providing at the moment.

My subscription ends by the end of december, if this shit show is going on by then, i won´t resubscribe. That´s my common sense.
You'd think you would understand quite well then, how difficult it is to procure servers and how unreasonable it is when someone is asking you to do something that is impossible. SE has made statements quite a few times now detailing their continued efforts to procure servers, but being unable to do so thanks to global situation created by COVID. Yet everyone wants to continuously yell at them for not being able to make servers pop out of thin air or not predicting a tripling of population that no one could have predicted. There is no effort to understand SE's efforts on this, just a focus on the self and an anger over not having the launch be buttery smooth when no popular MMO launch ever is.

Moreover, they will be conducting maintenance to remedy the other errors associated with their login queue. I'm not sure what people think stamping their feet in a tantrum is going to accomplish when SE is already fully aware of the issue and devoting their resources to resolving it. What do you want from them? To wave a magic wand and make servers appear?

Sir/ma'am what planet do you live on?? On Planet Earth no one hands out money for free. Hell!!! you can barely get a millionaire to give you 5 dollars. They would look at you like you just took the last of their paycheck. The apologies are nice and great and all, but I have to agree with Mordranar all the way. And i can understand him NOT wanting to pay for something but he can't play it like he wants and when he wants.

I for one LOVE FFXIV and I LOVE Yoshi-P and his crew but only adults who manage their money will see that giving out money, right now, for free is not something most of us can do if we can avoid it. Let us not forget, but we are smack dap in the middle of a pandemic. For most of us playing FFXIV after a hard day of work is what relaxes us, along side a glass of liquor. I hate to say it, but I kinda feel like I am handing SE my money as well. I had to literally get up this morning at 3 A.M, which is my gym time, just to log on and play. Doing that I had to say No to the gym this morning. That is NOT going to be a option. Not turning into a fat bastard over Square-Enix and their choices of doing things.

You aren't giving them money for free. You paid no extra for early access and you got a refund of 7 days of sub time, which has not even been reached yet.

    3 hours of 3001 error.
5 hours until raid group wants to do the new extremes.
Many times less than 1k in queue before the boot.

I may not get in to play with them in that timeframe, this sucks, I've tried using the go to another server for an hour and that doesn't even want to work so I am stuck.

I am annoyed and frustrated that I cannot log in atm and I hope SE would eventually fix their log in servers for future patches and expansion launches.

Yes I am on Gilgamesh and I fully expect long queue times regularly but this is really bad and I have no clue if I'll make it for raid group in 5 hours >_> as that is closer to prime time.

Maybe they should borrow some blades from Blizzard, I hear they have a lot of spare ones lol.

An expansion they hyped up, promised, took money for. Then didn't supply knowing full well there would be thousands of players who couldn't play the thing. That is definitely something to get angry at a corporation for.

They should have been more upfront about the fact that thousands of players wouldn't be able to play a game they paid for, from day one, for an inaccurate amount of time. At least offer up a refund process. It's unreasonable to expect people to wait for a service that might get better if we pray to Jesus hard enough.

They told people beforehand. They've actually been talking about the congestion since July when the influx of players from that other game flooded in.

They gave no indication it would be *this* bad. They lied to get more expansion sales, you can't see that?

They started telling us in July it would be bad. Never in any of the previous expansions have they warned us that far in advance to expect problems. So yes, they did warn us it would be *this* bad.

They still need to sort the errors that are kicking people to the end of the queue, you shouldn't have to wait five hours only to wait five more hours, but they continue to be transparent about it. You can blame them for a lot but warning us isn't one of the things they didn't do.

They literally said this was gong to happen before the expansion. They've offered up free game time. Stop being mad because you ignored the warnings.
