    Fair point. Being that they are the same error code, my assumption is they have the same cause. Thus, increasing the capacity to 21,000 from 17,000 on the login servers may mitigate the issue somewhat. I will admit this is just an assumption however, and concede that SE has not given a concrete statement on this point. Guess we will see when they integrate these servers in whether it has helped.

    But it is fine, you are taking it personnal and so am I. This is only a game. I just decided to make an investment in this game and I am disapointed so far in the delivery. How can you be disagreeing with my position is beyond me. I am okay with you no sharing it, completly fine. But I can't comprehend how come you all come in to defend SE or its spokeperson like they are attacked.

    And I'll be the first to congratulate them when they will really fix the problem and make their game playable and enjoyable for everyone. I have been playing FF series since the first game. I am sold to them, but I know my money is worth more than what I have bought so far and we are many beleiving this launch is a flop. And although we all know they can do better, and they did relaunch this game to the surprise of many and surpassed wow, we also know deserve better than this.
    I am defending them because I find the attacks unfair and illogical. I know that SE is doing everything they can do and is aware of the issues and frustration. All these numerous upon numerous threads and posts of frustration do is simple venting. Which, I suppose if that is what you want to do then fine. But people saying that SE should just materialize servers out of thin air, or that SE is out to get you are being completely unreasonable.

Granted ShB wasn't nearly as bad as Endwalker has been, since we've got the WoW Exodus to deal with, but they should have procured additional servers long before Covid hit and made a mess of things. The fact that they did not indicates that Square didn't think that the same launch issues that plagued ShB was going to plague Endwalker, which by itself is a pretty dumb decision and lack of foresight.

    Been kicked out of queue 3 times today and I'm always back at roughly a 6k player queue. Been this way for 5 hours. I don't think I'm getting in today, I'm fed up at this point.

    To be fair what I wondered when I read of the increased capacity was "Is that enough? Won't be right back into the same errors if it is not?" Don't get me wrong I appreciate that they are trying. I just am a bit skeptical at this point that it will work. If the servers really are getting slammed as hard as I think they are I am not sure it is going to make any difference. I sincerely hope I am wrong and they have the numbers and know it will.

    You... do realize they began planning OCE data center, like... last year, right? Any other additional hardware anywhere else would necessarily had to have happened after OCE was operational. And, since OCE is delayed (again, having been planned over a year in advance), one can reasonably assume that all other attempts at hardware acquisition would similarly be delayed, considering the planning and approval for these hypothetical additions would've happened after the planning and approval of OCE.

    In short, yes, yes they have been making attempts to acquire additional hardware. But the process is not as quick and simple as "we need more, let's buy more."

    Yeah that's my situation. Somehow my best friend on the same server got in without a single disconnect, and was actually waiting for me in game. I got booted from the queue again, lost my spot, and now won't get in with any time left to play tonight even if I could get in the queue at all (and after another 20 minutes of 3001, I doubt it).

    Just giving up to go watch something with my wife now. 2 hours in the queue with nothing but being kicked out of the queue to show for it is pretty demoralizing. It's okay to feel upset about it. Just try to direct it somewhere more positive than yelling at SE. I work in IT, I know how people feel on that end when stuff like this happens: it sucks. They're no happier than we are.

    Well, find a search engine, type ffxiv error 2002 or anythign the like, put a time frame, lets say 2015 to 2019, and read. I think it is reasonnable to say they had it coming and I agree that now it is unreasonnable to beleive they can make them appear out of thin air. Maybe heavy air, or smog, but probably not thin.

    But they had it coming like a kid procrastinating until the last minute to do something and than trying to make you feel bad since you had reasonnable expectation, from its own advertisement, you can only feel disapointed and frustrated. And I am now letting SE how I feel about all this. I could have phone them but we all know how it is complicated and useless. This might be as much useless but at least it is expeditive : I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT TO MAKE MYSELF HEARD. I have waited enough.

    It can be venting, it can also be not settling for mediocrity.

    The problem is assuming that everyone is raging around because they are posting in a forum that basically is the correct place to post these frustrations. Right now I'm taking a dump. After this, I will also watch something with my wife. Honestly the only reason I decided to post was because I got sick of ppl defending square and being hostile and ganging up on ppl who are correctly venting their frustration.

    EDIT : I came from work 90 minutes ago, I have been disconnected 3 times from queue already and everytime I had to try to reconnect multiple time, and everytime to number of people in line was greater, from 3k 90minutes ago, now I am at 6k before I can join the game. Yea, that does make a lot of sense. So this game is be to finances by everyone for the few that doesn't work in the morning or can work from home so they can babysit their computer all day and never disconnect?
