Just bought the game --- are the queues always like this?

I am really kind of disappointed that after 3 hours of waiting, I got in and the game crashed.
I am only level 27 and I love the story, and am enjoying it...when I can play.

Will this ever get better? I mean I didn't even buy Endwalker, and I am affected by constant crashing.
I'm hardwired into my tower, restarted the computer, reset my router. And nothing.
I just wasted money on a game that is unplayable.
Anyone other newbies getting this frustrated?

It will get better the expansion isnt even in full release yet. Lot of people coming back for the new content, when they finish it then it will die down again to normal log in times.

As people fiinish the story and cotent in the expansion the log in ques will get better and start getting back to normal.

No, they are not always like this. Yes, it will get exponentially better. Only like this because of EW launch. Hopefully it will pass sooner rather than later.

No it is NOT by any means like this with queues on a regular basis. We just had and Earl6y Access of the new expansion which is launching tomorrow. We also got hit with a big wave of new players over the last 3-6 months and thanks to the semiconductor shortage SE cannot get servers to expand. This will get back to normal but it might take a week or 2.

Your best bet since you are on a NA server is to play in the mornings (ie before noon) when the load is at its lowest. At least until the new expansion rush fades.

Welcome to the game we are happy to have you. It will get better and the game really is worth the temporary frustration. It is THAT good.

We are all frustrated right now so you are not seeing the best in the community at the moment.

Normally the queues on a populated server aren't nearly this bad. You'll be able to be playing stably within seconds to minutes any other time. It's only like this right after a major expansion launches.

No, the queues aren't usually like this, an influx of new players as well as the launching of endwalker, and a shortage of server-related stuff has led to an overload on the servers themselves. A lot of things combined to create this chaos, not the least of which is the exodus of the "WoW Refugees" things will hopefully get better soon, till then its patience and hope. or playing pokemon like i am while sitting in queu

On an average day when we're not in the frenzy of a new expansion, I might wait 10 minutes to get in at peak time.

Yes, the queues are always the same as they are when launching a new, much anticipated expansion on the heels of a huge, well publicized explosion of subscriptions over the summer.
