Same. Just got booted out of queue with error 2002. Was in a 3k+ queue this afternoon, Got below 100, then boom. Client auto closed when I hit ok on error 2002. Opened back up, logged in, selected character, and ..... 6,700 in queue.
Unacceptable.
I can live with the queue.... if it was actually fully functional.
It is inexcusable that they have these exact same errors with ever expac launch for the past EIGHT years. Should have been fixed long before now to have a working queue. We keep coming back for more punishment though, so the execs think it is not worth the money to fix. Very sad.
I made the mistake of purchasing the boost (haven't played recently) and the MSQ completion. Wait over an hour this morning (I work from home so I can log in while I work) waited in the queue, used the boost....disconnected, and have to wait another several hours. And then I log in and use the MSQ (I can't start the new expac without doing this.) AND the game restarts ( I understand this is intended but kicking me to the back shouldn't be) and I'm placed at the back of the queue.
After about 12pm PST (what was listed as peak) I have disconnected from the queue upwards of 10 times. I have sat in a 3k queue earlier and now sitting in a 5,772 queue (each time I get 2002 error I am placed at the back.) Like many have said, I don't mind waiting my turn...what I have a problem with is the frequency of getting kicked to the back for HOURS. I have been trying to log in daily, only to get so frustrated after hours of being in the queue to lose my spot.
I would pay for a server transfer, I don't care about being on such an overloaded server but that is down as well. I haven't been able to log in for more than 5min in over a week and basically my "early access" was nothing.
Totally get about the servers but I feel like allowing server transfer would help, allowing those who paid for services back into the game vs forcing us to the queue would be a good change as well. Or why wasn't there a cap for purchasing the game? Why couldn't it "sell-out" to prevent this? Something, anything, it just seems ridiculous to pay for something and spend a week unable to get in. Even when New World was a crap show I could get in -- spending from 9am-4pm attempting to get logged in, with 3 hours of disconnects from the queue seems a little insane.
JUST LOST MY QUEUE SPOT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SECOND TIME IN THE LAST HOUR, BACK TO 8300....GOD DAMMIT
Totally on that train, I honestly feel like if I could get a refund for my mog station items, sub and xpac I would just walk away.As others have stated, working during the day only to be stuck in queue all night to not play is frustrating. What's even MORE frustrating is when your spouse gets kicked and ends up in the back of the line so you have a choice to make:
1) Stay in line and get in hours before them because the queue literally takes 2 hours
2) Leave the queue and wait with them
3) Play something else
To be blunt, we are on the play something else train pretty soon. I may even cancel my subscription until this is resolved. No point in throwing away money for a game I can't play.
With this many people having it, it is clearly not "our connection" that is a front to ignore the problems at hand and blame others. If we do not get months of free play time, i am betting people will cancel subs until they are able to fix the issue, then watch as their shareholders they report to (lower earnings) start complaining. It will get fixed then. It's this. Long queues are A-OK with me, but having to babysit the queue and hope that you catch the inevitable 2002 kick as soon as it happens it's ridiculous, and on top of that, they are saying it is OUR connection doing it, which means, they are not going to fix it, at all.
For me the most frustrating is to have to babysit a 2-3 hrs queue, having to relog multiple 2002 errors only to get kicked to the back of the line which is now 2000 more people large (after multiple 2002 error in a row)...
Q for people that have been part of previous expansions, how long did it take for the queues to decrease in length from being in the multiple thousands, let say down to multiple hundreds?
I fear this may last many months at that rate...
Was just 7000
is Aether out? tried to log into Pimal and it was all good, tried on Aether and just got 2002

I've played many games over the years and sat in many queues and I can't even remember one game where I got kicked repeatedly from it. And my internet now is better than it ever has been. Hard wired fiber optic.
