I feel it too. Get home only to have to wait for the queue...but wait!...the queue after trying to get past the 3001 errors is only 992!? HAPPY DAY...oh wait...nope my bad it seems to not be moving even after waiting for almost half an hour. 992 every refresh...seems it be stuck.
I went against my better judgement and exited and restarted the game. Now I see 3062...only for it to stay that number for a full 10 minutes and then the dreaded 2002 error.
I know they are "doing all they can" but this still feels like they should have anticipated this happening. Chip shortage, yes...I get it. However, your worlds were already mostly loaded BEFORE the chip shortage and I am sorry but it seems you just stood there and shrugged your shoulders. I don't mean to be salty but it is very hard not to be when all we want to do is play a game we subbed for only to be told this is going to be like this for months.

You guys are getting 2002's?
We're getting this..after waiting in a 3k-6k queue and getting into the world, then getting immediately kicked.

That was what I was having to go through when i tried to log in today after work. Couldn't get in at all until FINALLY it did let me into a queue but it was pointless as the number didn't even go down. You guys are getting 2002's?

Hmm, I think that's new; The 3001 code.
Tech Support - according to you the 2002 error occurs only when there are 17,000 people in the queue and prevents more people from joining the queue. And early this morning the limit was increased to 21,000. This does nothing to explain why all of us ALREADY IN THE QUEUE keep getting 2002 errors, kicked out and have to start over at the end of the queue and hope that this time hours of waiting will pay off.
The problem you're fixing isn't the problem we're having!
Your "unstable internet" explanation is also crap. Its the exact same hard-wired high-speed connection I used to play the game without any issue. If you're saying that the login queue is MORE susceptible to packet loss than the game or any streaming music/video, or conferencing service I've ever used then you did a really shitty job of making the login queue stable.

It's this. Long queues are A-OK with me, but having to babysit the queue and hope that you catch the inevitable 2002 kick as soon as it happens it's ridiculous, and on top of that, they are saying it is OUR connection doing it, which means, they are not going to fix it, at all.Your "unstable internet" explanation is also crap. With this many people having it, it is clearly not "our connection" that is a front to ignore the problems at hand and blame others. If we do not get months of free play time, i am betting people will cancel subs until they are able to fix the issue, then watch as their shareholders they report to (lower earnings) start complaining. It will get fixed then. It's this. Adding my +1 to the frustration queue. The 2002 boss still hitting me pretty hard. Managed to get down to the 2000's with several DC's but just got back into queue at almost 6000.
Being a wow refugee I'm sort of used to server issues the first few days of release. I'm not even logging in to play Endwalker stuff as I'm only 22 lol.
Hoping to be able to play some this weekend I hope.
Good luck all with your error 2002/lobby boss battles.
They would need to recode the whole thing and cloud is not an better. Oh you also still need hardware for it.They have known of this surge in players since June, the server i am on has literally had a queue every day since June so the "recent" garbage can stop. Also as to chip shortage, um cloud hosting? if it was known the servers would not handle the load and that parts were not available then why was a hosting service locked in for the new instances or to provide hosting for new servers? Then no issues with procurement for hardware. Yes it would have taken effort, yes it would have been a large cost and yes it would have taken non traditional thought but these issues were avoidable. Hey bare all of that since they knew the preorder numbers they could have delayed until servers were ready. Content is polished and is amazing, everything else is a dumpster fire.
