Why is SDS Fenrir allowed to exist as it is?

Mind you, this isn't a post made out of jealousy, I own the mount, I'm just curious.

Why is something so obviously pay-to-win allowed to exist? Are the devs okay with this, or are they just oblivious?

For those who don't know: The SDS Fenrir shop mount runs at top speed even when you don't have riding maps, eliminating any need for players to get the maps if they own this mount (while also limiting them to only using that mount). It's a lose-lose situation both ways, and makes the game look bad imo. Pay to win elements shouldn't exist, even if you think movespeed 'isn't a big deal', eliminating the need for people to do the riding map unlocks is a pretty big thing I think.

I literally don’t understand this argument. What are you “winning” exactly? Reaching a destination faster than someone without a Mount? It’s a negligible gain if you really want to reach—just be careful a shoulder doesn’t get dislocated in the process.

Getting to a place seconds faster isn’t “winning”. This doesn’t give you a combat advantage or other meaningful game advantage. If you think this is pay to win, please just go look at some of the items F2P games have like exp boost scrolls and gear enhancement guarantees.
