Why is SDS Fenrir allowed to exist as it is?

Mind you, this isn't a post made out of jealousy, I own the mount, I'm just curious.

Why is something so obviously pay-to-win allowed to exist? Are the devs okay with this, or are they just oblivious?

For those who don't know: The SDS Fenrir shop mount runs at top speed even when you don't have riding maps, eliminating any need for players to get the maps if they own this mount (while also limiting them to only using that mount). It's a lose-lose situation both ways, and makes the game look bad imo. Pay to win elements shouldn't exist, even if you think movespeed 'isn't a big deal', eliminating the need for people to do the riding map unlocks is a pretty big thing I think.

Because once you get flying its the same speed as everything else. Its not "pay to win" its "pay to advance faster" much like the story and job skips.

Less time spent. When you're moving at twice the speed as normal, without having to spend hours getting riding maps, that's a lot of time saved.

Seems pretty silly to think that's a win in anything. But you go off if you feel that way. I'll keep using my SDS and "win" i guess.

You dont win anything, it doesn’t help you beat the game, it’s a luxurious convenience and that’s all. You can have the same convenience with every mount by putting in just a little extra work.

The players in this game are so funny. Other SE games sell the exact same thing and they get raked over the coals and stop sales shortly after. This game it is just convenience item.

"Obviously Pay to Win" is a little exagerated.
In EW/ShB areas u can get the mount speed map fairly quickly after (6?) fates.
In ARR areas you unlock flying straight out of the bat once u finish the Base MSQ.
If anything Fenrir has lost its value.
HW/SB is debateable but its also whatever.

Fenrir is extremely optional.

theres no pay to win in this game, its an MMO theres no "winning" so someone else is getting exp a lil bit faster then you bit deal its not the end of the world
