It depends on when you login. I had plans to login early every day until I beat MSQ. So for work I typically get up at 4am. If I happened to wake up earlier than that, I play. No issues with queue.

Sunday morning I logged in early but didn't have food prepped so I came back and the queue took me 40min when I got back around 7:30am PST. It's my understanding that close to 10am EST you start having 30min+ queues.

This morning I logged in per usual at about 5am since friends got to the level 83 trial. No issue. Went back to sleep and started to queue 11:14am. It's now about 2 hr 17 min then. Started at 2645, had 4 2002 lobby errors and now sit at 209. Not surprised to be honest. Today and tomorrow are more like get some things done early morning and then if I can queue back in great. If not, I can hope that it gets better for everyone as I attempt to finish my backlog.

    What can I say?
If you think a company is going to give a refund to a million people if only 10000 are affected, you'd be wrong.

No lag. No instance issues. The game has been buttery smooth. It seems to me the longest queues are on the EU servers where they only have two DC's as well as Aether and Primal. Maybe being on Crystal which as seen as the "joke" DC of the FFXIV playerbase is to my advantage.

I just see so many people raging on here and I am really surprised because my experience has been completely optimal with zero problems.

    No problems here o/
    Queue? Yes.
    Is it a problem? No.
    Rest was absolutely decend.
Love the setting, love the sound, love the story, love the new NPC quests, love the changes, even love the class changes.

Game experience has been really good. I don’t think many at all are actually having issues in game it’s just getting through the constant 2002s that’s the issue.

Zalera i think is one of the smallest servers in NA so you kinda just lucked out being there.

Been playing on Primal-Hyperion since the first launch of EA. I was shocked to see about 3500 people queuing already, took about 45 mins to get in-game.

On Saturday I logged in at about 10 am GMT+7 and the queue was about 4500 people. Got disconnected twice due to 2002, but thankfully my queue number wasn't reset. Got in after waiting about approx. 1+ hour. Same thing when playing on Sunday.

Aside from the weekends, I usually play at around 6 pm GMT+7 and the queue was under 100 people, it's about 5 mins.

I don't mind waiting because I absolutely love playing SGE. I haven't even started on EW MSQ because I'm still doing post-ShB, but I enjoyed every minute while I'm in-game!

After day 1, no issue for me on day 2 onwards. I just queue early. Not even a single disconnect. Using wired connection.

The only issue I've run into was tonight. Halfway through a quest cutscene, the audio sorta popped and then just vanished for the rest of the scene. Shortly after I had control of my character back, the entire client closed itself. Otherwise the game has been wicked stable.

Sure, I've sat through a handful of 6500+ queues coupled with the 2002 errors forcing me to scramble to log back in quick enough to maintain my spot, but when I'm actually *in* the game, it's been working brilliantly. I even caught a pleasant surprise when clipping out the rest of my book today: When going into an instance alone in an undersized party, the little ring gate was gone in under a second each time. No more running at the gate waiting to start your 30 second boss kill!

I've been logging in in the morning hours, so no queue at all (just the soft queue you get of 50 or less to prevent too much data from loading into the server at once.)

However, my friends who are working have been stuck waiting for hours to get in some times. I've been logging off around 7PM PST to free up a spot for others.

This also gives me some time to digest the story before I proceed (I'm around level 86 MSQ now ish.) It gets real heavy in a lot of places....

It's not a refund, friend. It's 7 free days which is no skin off their back, and unlike other popular game companies, SE quite cares about their public image. So, yeah, they're gonna give 7 free days to all of their players.

Equality = equality, not "these people over here get this refund/free time, but not those people." What are they gonna do, ask you to prove you were stuck in a queue? Everyone had longer queues. Everyone might have had a disconnect.

I am not saying there weren't some people that had horrible times. I am saying the vast majority had few issues, or no issues except slightly longer queue times.

What I am saying is all this 'ZOMG SE is terrible, this is the worst launch ever, I want a refund, I want people fired, SE is incompetent, blah blah blah," ... that crap is for short-sighted people who cannot conceive of a situation where they might be part of a small, vocal minority that is having issues.

    Driving a car:

    - You might get in an accident, sure.
    - Do accidents happen all day, every day? Sure.
    - Are most people affected by an accident daily? Nope. The vast majority of people are not in an auto accident daily, or ever.

Just because you see something happening all around you, or even if that thing happens to you, does not mean that many, most, or all other people are affected by the "thing".

Scope of vision. Millions vs. thousands. Majority vs. minority. Logic vs. empty-headed nonsense.

It's a minor portion that are affected. Attempts to create a narrative to the contrary can be shot down with basic logic every time.
