Dark Knight truly needs some love.

I am saying this as a person who truly adores the job and just wants to see it succeed. WAR and especially PLD just keep getting spoiled. DRK literally just needs longer blood weapon and some self healing. If nothing else. DRK is forced to watch and starve while PLD and WAR have food heaped onto their plates. I am never someone who likes to be negative or complain. But endwalker changes to drk feel nigh inconsequential. The job has gapingly obvious weaknesses. But we got the band aid that is enhanced unmend put on? I feel as though knocking a few seconds off of your plunge cooldown does little for the bigger issues.
Some people i speak with told me square looks at the forums and that they will base balance patches after early access on it. I can only pray that this is true.

It really feels like the dev team is putting some serious weight on DRKs 2 magic mitigation CDS or something. I'm baffled that it got so little this expac ( again ). That of all the skills Salt the earth didn't get removed, but instead got built upon. Abyssal drain got nerfed with a tied CD, and that in light of everything they did for every other tanks TBN equivalent they refused to buff it.

Blood weapon aside. I cannot look at PLD WAR and compare them to DRK at all. GNB I have never played, but its now DRKs OT competition, will see if GNB dmg and Excog out do TBN/Oblation though. Should probably just start calling it TBN/oblation the class I guess.

Hell, 'good' has nothing to do with it at this point. I just want it to be fun again.

Dark Knight could have the best damage and a 75% Shield on TBN, it wouldn't fix anything. Dark Knight certainly is viable, maybe it will even have the best damage out of all the tanks.
But its weakneses are mainly within kit interraction and progression. The most essential ability of Dark Knight isn't learned until level 70. After stripping it from all of its other sustaining tool (for both mana and HP regen) and defensive options (Dark Dance, Dark Passenger blindness) from level 50 to 60+ Dark knight is basically naked until they get TBN.
But even the, its ressources being so shallow really hurts it. You don't know what Dark Knight is trying to be, it is having an identity crisis for some reason

I just want it to be fun. IDC about it being balanced. SHB was a step in the wrong direction For DRK and we all assumed that there would be some fixes for it in 6.0 but we got nothing.
I liked the idea of Dark arts from back when. It could have been done better but i still liked the idea. there is to much to write here but i think a Rework in the identity of this job is in order. i dont play WAR but PLD and GNB look and feel amazing. the thing that sucks is the idea that we might have to wait a whole expansion. At least revert the salted earth nonsense. I hate how it works!
