I concede that given the 1.0 launch was something like 12 years ago I may have forgotten server stability/queueing issues were a problem amongst the many other problems that make it a completely different situation to this one. But, "being dropped while playing" is not an issue right now. I've played many hours and have had zero disconnects once through the queue and in the game.
If you were whining that they were doing nothing to resolve the problems in 1.0, then it turns out you were obviously wrong, because they did do something about it. Just like they're trying to resolve the current issues (see the emergency maintenance this morning and the coming server maintenance). When I played 1.0 and I didn't like it, I stopped playing. I didn't come back for the legacy campaign. I didn't like it at all, so I didn't play it. But I didn't go and angrily post about it. They made a game that wasn't fun, but they didn't intentionally make a game that wasn't fun just to antagonize you.
No one is saying that there aren't issues - they're saying SE is already doing everything they can reasonably be expected to do given the reality of the situation. If the only solution that makes you happy is "no more queue times", you're simply going to have to wait. There's a myriad of other games out there, play them in the meantime, or play them going forward if you like. Complaining here gains you nothing - they are already doing what they can to resolve the issue.
Oh yeah, and re the additional game time, I am pleased to let you know despite my lack of experience working for a Fortune 500 company, I am correct about how they're doing it.
