Yup. Ppl forget that the active economy and active community is what makes this game thrive. Not the MSQ and duties

I've hardly seen pf, usually less then 30. Most of which are leveling parties. Where are these other people? For a short time like early access it'll help out since even most of the usual rp crowd is also focused on MSQ or leveling or sitting on log in queue.

I've seen a lot of bad ideas in this forum, but this one is really up there. 3 hours is not that much time.

24 hours I could see. Basically force people to log off to go to sleep. But many people are actively playing for well over 3 hours, barring a few breaks here and there.

Nah, limited play time is something Im cool with when sold as a demo, but never something that should be applied retroactively.

This is so selfish lol, just do something else for like 2 days. Or just reque right away, I've had literally 0 issues with queue outside of the crashes.

Force a player to log out after 3 hours of gameplay.

They had something similar in FF14 1.x. It did not end very well for them.

They could had scheduled server reboots like in SB. But I think we seen the worsed of it tbf.

It gives everyone a fair shot, speed up the queue's a bit as well. As for the 3 hour forced lockout.. They have 5 minutes to relog to log back in at the front of the line. Which I left out.

I doubt that people with less than 2000 hours of play time under your model would consider it "giving everyone a fair shot"

force people to log out after 3 hours? thats a great idea! instead of people slowly getting in over the day, you have the login servers constantly hit even more. besides, do you think the bots or people afk dancing in Limsa will care if they cant raid?

do you even code at all? those fixes arent really going to be that easy on the Developer end.

More exceptions can be added like 1 hour in EW areas, I just cited some examples.

Crafter can be done at a later time after Early Access. It's not a priority.

well, in your playstyle maybe it isnt a priority, but not everyone is you.

people play mmo's or any game for a variety of reasons.

why not say lalafels are not a priority because they are too short to see the sights anyway. so between 5 am and 10 pm they are not allowed to log in. pint sized characters are not a priority.

People are already dictating how you are allowed to play the game.

Botters and afkers have dictated that you are not allowed to play the game by using exploits and 3rd party programs to keep you out.

What other option do you propose since Square Enix is not showing any intentions of upgrading their servers any time soon?



I don't think any suggestion can punish people that truly wish to play more than how people that abuse the system punish them. They literally cannot play and has been that way for 3 days now.

Considering the queues drop down to normal during off peak times, I doubt there are huge numbers of players exploiting the systems. At least not more than would be punished by your gameplay.

Sorry, can't help with that boss fate. Have to go to another map so I don't get kicked and get an hour lock out. This would happen.

Player has been waiting for hours for a fate to pop on a popular map and that fate drops quickly. Pops while they are switching to another map and back to avoid being kicked out for multiple times the fate has popped.

Player so engrossed with the story they lose track of time and get booted with an hour lockout all because they got immersed in the story.
