A Simple Quick Band Aid fix

Force a player to log out after 3 hours of gameplay. I.E they can't que for dungeons, raids, or progress in story. Also add priority for long time subscribers, 2000+ days of subscribed as well as legacy players given automatic priority. Ban people (including streamers) using third party tech to by pass the afk automatic log out timers. Also add a queue placement priority for players that are kicked due to timing out in queue or 2002 out of queue.

Honestly quick simple fixes that could be done on SE developer end and probably something streamers don't like, but honestly, everyone pays to play this game not just streamers.

It gives everyone a fair shot, speed up the queue's a bit as well. As for the 3 hour forced lockout.. They have 5 minutes to relog to log back in at the front of the line. Which I left out.

I doubt that people with less than 2000 hours of play time under your model would consider it "giving everyone a fair shot"

force people to log out after 3 hours? thats a great idea! instead of people slowly getting in over the day, you have the login servers constantly hit even more. besides, do you think the bots or people afk dancing in Limsa will care if they cant raid?

do you even code at all? those fixes arent really going to be that easy on the Developer end.

boot afk accounts - not based solely on time...

Kick players who are not only inactive, but any that have not changed position for more than 30 minutes. There are people who use macros and automation to prevent the 30 minute AFK timeout.

Clear accounts and make more room for other players.

This would only be for a month or two until things settle down.

Unfortunately there are players who are using macros or other means to keep their character "active" so they can stay connected all day to avoid the Login Queue.

People just simply makes the macro move the character to avoid that. Unless SE installs a monitoring software (which is illegal in Japan, and will trash your PC's performance), there is no way SE can tell if a jump every 1-2 minute is automated or not. And don't bother try to detect them, cuz they clearly do it in where you can't access, like an inn.

The fact that you have to resort a 3rd-party macro to do this means SE already does it best. The common methods for afk-avoiding that people usually use are rendered useless already. And not every single player owns a macro mouse/keyboard to bypass it. Unless you have your relatives or your pets to counter it.

That would be awful for me as a crafter.

This is the best solution that should have been implemented by now. Any player that remains in the same zone for more than 30 minutes, even if they are walking against a wall, typing, performing or rearranging their HUD should be instantly kicked and given a 1 hour login penalty.

Add exceptions to End Credits, Eureka/Bozja/Zadnor, and current EX trials and you fixed the login problems with one simple trick.

It... it takes longer than thirty minutes to quest through a zone, to actively play the game, especially if you take into account cutscenes. Unless you specifically mean rest zones such as cities, but that's still not fair because, as someone else pointed out, what about crafters? Or what about places like Old Sharlayan which is a city and quite a bit of the starting story takes place there? They're playing the game in ways it's intended to be played and they should be punished for that?

More exceptions can be added like 1 hour in EW areas, I just cited some examples.

Crafter can be done at a later time after Early Access. It's not a priority.
