NA Data Centers borked?

anybody else having an issue of not even being able to get to character select on any NA Data center?
I just tried all 3 of the NA Data centers and error 2002 each time. would probably keep trying if it wasn't for the fact it closes the game each time it can't reach the lobby servers.

I tried EU Chaos and was able to do character select.

I'm on Aether/Midgardsormr, and can get to character select screen, except I'm sitting on a 4K+ queue, and have been kicked out twice with Error 2002, and losing my spot once.

Started yesterday for me can’t even get to character selection most of the tine

It isn't that they are borked, it's that they are completely full and the only time a space is freed is when someone logs out. (Like me, I just gave up a spot so I can go sleep. Hope that means someone else gets to play tonight finally.)

The lobby servers are also groaning and straining, and error 2002 happens when you lag out and lose your connection to the lobby server. Sometimes you can get right back in your place in line, other times you'll be reset..... it sucks, but until the popularity wanes a bit or SE uses creation magic to make some new servers out of the aether, prime time is going to be absolutely awful on NA.

The reason you can get to EU servers no issue is because it's 4AM there.

At this point, not even accessing the data center. I hit the main menu, click to continue, error to desktop.

According to a recent post from Yoshi, 2002 is caused by either too many people trying to log in, or bad internet.

Do a speed test, and if that's not a problem, wait.
