Uh, no. Server growth was stable until June of 2021, then it exploded unexpectedly. That data is public.

The OCE data that is slated to come online ASAP (currently sometime in 2022) would have been enough to accommodate the predicted growth based on the increases prior to June 2021, but the unexpected population boom coupled with the hardware shortage meant that their timeline was incorrect.

And right now, no amount of money can buy new server hardware - it simply doesn't exist. Companies that had resisted remote work were forced to suddenly adapt, and the high end server hardware needed for non-cloud applications to run it has been in short supply ever since. My own office had to wait a year for our new Dell rack.
