I was in queue 3 times, all of them 4 k cause I kept getting 2002ed. Now I just get 2002ed right before character select.

From what I've heard JP servers are doing just fine. It's only NA/EU that are falling apart.

It is due to congestion. The player base has increased rapidly over the past few months and a new expansion increases that issue. Japan servers probably have issues at peak times too but its early morning there. In NA server you still have a lot of people active on both coasts at this time.

For example, I was able to log in no problem around 9:00am EST. However, I had to take care of a few things and a few hours later I can't get in at all. 2002 loops. I doubt it'll get much better for a while, maybe even worse on 7th when more people can try Endwalker. G'luck.

I can confirm. Decided to check out the JP servers for funsies - Tonberry had a queue of 12.

Basically what happened here is you got screwed by a large corporation that promised but did not deliver. It happens, after this story ark I will be done with this mmo because am starting to see they are heading in the exact direction blizzard is.

To be fair, there haven't been any massive retcons as far as I've been able to tell. So they're doing pretty well with that aspect.
