Gunbreaker Macro Broken And I Don't Know Why

Beddict's macro is the correct way to do this combo with a singlebutton mash.

Honestly, the biggest issue here is using combat macros in this manner, in the first place, there's no tangible benefit in using them, you are literally only required to press two button to execute Gnashing combo and Continuation, it is extremely simple to do. It is also detrimental to use macros for combat outside of certain targetting macros for the likes of Shirk, or ST mitigation, like Intervention, Heart of Corundum, etc, due to the fact that, macros can only operate in seconds, not milliseconds, using wait timer macros are a significant DPS loss over the course of a fight. Further you lose agency over your rotation by using these kind of macros, if a boss jumps for instance or have a forced disengagement, you macro will continue, and you will end up having to manually press you buttons, or else just waste a load more DPS by ignoring that you haven't completed your combo, and return to the rest of your rotation after Wicked Talon.

My tangible benefit is less keystrokes/reaches for buttons on my keyboard as a disabled player (not sure if you were following my previous posts). I know it's not the perfect way to play the class, but I'm not seeking absolute perfection, just a system that is functional for me with my loss of motor skills. I can assure you, I don't operate in milliseconds! LOL I hope you can see where I'm coming from. ^_^

Thank you to everyone who's been helpful here without putting me down. I appreciate the kindness. As a disabled player, I seek ways to make the game more playable/accessible for myself and using macros like this is one method I use. I know it's not the optimal solution and likely not something I'd ever try if I wanted to attempt end game raiding (an aspect of the game I've not been interested in; did that hard core in World of Warcraft and that was GRUELING even before I became disabled).

Beddict's macro is the correct way to do this combo with a singlebutton mash.

That macro would be correct if, and only if, Zhalar can physically mash a button due to their disability. I would guess, given that Zhalar choose to include wait times to begin with, that they cannot mash a button easily.

Also, for anyone else, you can only wait in increments of 1 second (based on the last time I experimented personally). You can type in '2.5' in the wait argument but it will round the time it waits for.

With all that said I think the best macro for Zhalar would be:

/ac "Gnashing Fang" <wait.1>
/ac "Continuation" <wait.2>

But, honestly, that would be up to Zhalar to figure out. All they asked for was clarification on the naming scheme for GNB abilities. Everyone else zoned on the wait parts and the bad DPS which Zhalar really did not deserve. (Not directed at you specifically.)

As a side note:

Zhalar, you might find this happens with other jobs too because of Endwalker. A bunch of jobs now have condensed buttons that all now use the base action (the first one you learn) and just replace it. So, if this happens again I would recommend figuring out what the first action is in the chain for the combo or later learned action is. RDM, SMN and PLD all come to mind immediately as examples.

Just for add some constructive idea, since you have issues with keyboard and mouse for being disabled why don't you try playing it with controller, you might find less issues than using the keyboard

Will you people just chill tf out with the macro whining. if someone wants to use a macro it is on them for whatever reasons they have, you are not owed an explanation. When playing a class perfectly, it is a dps loss. that is true. But it can still be a huge dps gain vs playing the class straight wrong and not using some skills. Keep your elitist nonsense in savage content.
