And now imagine ... the real start of EW is tomorrow. SQEX can not handle the early access properly. Maybe we will see 10k queues.
Cheers

No. People are being called Karens for how they're dealing with it. You can be constructive or you can be Karens, people are choosing to be Karens.
We know why there's an issue.
We know the extent it is beyond their control, which would resolve this problem if they had said control.
They've been transparent about the whole thing.
It's not about Square Enix as a company, but the dev team, it's not corporate who come here to read the feedback, it's the people who actually work on the game. Yes, they are there to provide a service, but at least try to understand why they are not able to provide it to the degree we'd normally expect. Why? Because "the customer is always right" is a dumb self-entitled mentality that means the customer holds the service provider accountable for everything that goes wrong and there's no mutual respect or understanding. In this case, the dev team actually try to foster a mutual respect between them and the player-base. So it is disheartening to see this many threads of people throwing their toys out of the pram and grabbing their pitch forks.
They're not free from criticism, but people would sooner grab their pitch forks than actually try to understand the problem. And that's why people are getting called Karens. Everybody is frustrated, we get it, but many of us are at least trying to be reasonable about it.
Off topic. How to change the forum layout back to mobile? Apparently pressed a button somewhere on accident. Layout changed to desktop.
The so called karens are also the ones calling people who are patient and understand there will be queues and the occational network error for sheeps/white knights. It goes both ways you know.
And it's comments like this I'm refering to here. People say something you don't agree with in your angered state = white knights.
To be fair, constructive critic is one thing but there been alot of tantrums throwing around this weekend alone. Heck people even complain over the 7 day free playtime we're getting as compensation.
Are you a karen by your logic then?

I don't mind queues.
I mind netcode so terrible that you have to babysit said queue because it boots you even on a wired connection every 10-30 minutes. And said random crashes will fling you to the back of the line if your turn comes up during one of those crashes.
That's not queuing. That's garbage login server code. I have better things to do than hover around my computer for half the day while it thinks about maybe letting me in if the coin flip doesn't boot me out the moment I hit the head of the line. That's not "instant gratification". That's expecting a line to behave like a line, and service you when you've waited your turn.
They have handled post launch PR well. They did not handle the launch well. Queue's, eh, that's just a part of life on a launch. It's not a big deal at all. The crashing however? That is on them and shows they either don't have good prioritization or, the most likely choice, depending on the dedicated "fan base" to come to their defense and deal with all of this without complaint.
They knew it was happening and ordered more parts in spring. Guess what, though? They haven’t come yet. How far back were they supposed to guess?
