This happens anytime that there are launch issues for MMO's, doesn't matter what game it is. You always get a flood of ignorant people who think that they can just magically poof new servers into existence and fix all the login errors with the flick of a wand. The only way to deal with these types of people is to ignore them and let their cries fade into the void.

Yup yup! That is because login server is overloaded and stops responding to requests completely. As login and queue server appear to be married you can or will lose your place in queue as queue server has also become unresponsive.

This should never occur because it defeats purpose of queue server in first place..

No one working in database or server administration should ever prepare to "poof new servers into existence". Problems in this field are best handled proactively not retroactively. There is not single member of the staff that is happy with a situation most likely saw coming many months in advance, yet lacked the funds or expertise to solve.

This Mia has been there before and it is not pretty. I also understood the complaints and I was running free services at this time... The worse thing Square could ask for is for the "complaints" to cease. Quiet ones do not care, they silently leave and never return. Winning them back is nearly impossible. Again, preventative measures should have been taken years ago to address their improperly configured database structure. It was not so here we are.

You seriously think complaining= throwing tantrums? Lmao. And what kind of perfect world do you live where adults can't throw tantrum? Chance are, you probably do too.

The only ones who throw tantrum are white knights crying because people rightfully criticize SE.

I spent 5hours logging in today because i did not catch a 2002 error (i had 6), does SE expect me to stare at the log in screen because i want to play?

Its a company, a companies goal is money, if a problem is big enough to lose money they will act ... not before. Yoshi P is not your buddy and SE is not on your friendslists. This is normal!
You work in a supply chain. Well, I work in software. It's not as easy, or as fast as, simply saying "if your kicked from 2002 you can join a queue for ppl which were kicked" and it is implemented. It usually requires some sort of management buy-off, then it eventually needs to be coded by the developers. It could take longer if new data types or structures have to be implemented. Then, there has to be some kind of internal testing (minimum) before pushing it out. The problem has only really manifested Friday when launch started - 2, almost 3 days now. Depending on the work environment and if their team is even required to work weekends (likely, but I'll not assume at 100% capacity), it likely hasn't gone though all that rigor. You got people whining over a free 7 days compensation; just imagine how whiny people will get if they pushed out a "fix" that ended up worse than the problem they were trying to fix.

I really do think it's lost on folks just how much recent events completely shattered every growth expectation they had and how much that alongside the global supply chain issues meant that not only could they not predict the popularity the game would get, but had no actual way to respond to said popularity as best as possible. It's like finding out you've got to make X-mas dinner for 12 people instead of 4, but you've only got space for maybe 6 people max and the grocery stores haven't restocked all week.

Believe it or not, but they earn nothing from all of this and they surely would prefer everything to run smoothly.
But I guess being logic has never crossed your mind.

At the end of the day, not only you get the same problems as we do, but you :
    - waste your time complaning about it instead of doing something else productive
    - get angry over something you don't even understand

So clearly, you're inflicting yourself all of this.
Customers voicing their displeasure at poor service is and has always been the best way to get things changed.

However, you defending a multimillion dollar corporation on their forums will achieve nothing and never will. At the end of the day, not only you too paid real money like everyone else for a product that doesn't function properly, but you waste your free time acting as an unpaid PR representative for a company, getting angry over miffed customers demanding a better service. Unable to understand they are rightfully incensed over likely having scheduled their weekend for the product's release, while those who attempt to play regardless of the issues are likely losing even more of their free time having to babysit a several hour long queue that randomly boots them back to desktop so they might get a chance to actually enjoy the product they purchased. Why don't all these horrible people just shut up, right?

Sure, Square Enix might have given chip shortages or whatever as an excuse for poor launch, but that stopped being our problem the moment they decided to accept our money. If they knew the game would be unplayable at launch to most players - which they themselves admitted - they could've postponed it until the issue gets resolved, they could at the very least fix the client so the game doesn't randomly boot players out from the queue, refunds, or better yet: don't keep advertising and selling software that doesn't get past the title screen. But instead they opted to knowingly push on, because AAA publishers nowadays have countless fanboys at their beck and call, and it's easier than ever to just ride out the bad press and hope things will fix themselves.

Until Square Enix tries to implement some sort of long-term solution other than "wait and see", I'm not having high hopes for them. Additional subscription time is a good start, in fact it's the obvious band-aid and bare minimum of human decency, but not a solution by any stretch of imagination if the situation will be the same come actual release.

First, what I wrote was not whining, and not even an attempt at complaining about the company. Kindly take a moment to assess the situation, and use the basest level of critical thinking to determine who better to throw that dingy white armor at.

Secondly, customer complaints actually do achieve plenty, and you're blind to the world around you if you think that they do not. There are lessons to be learned here, and I'd rather they be learned, and the issue addressed in the future (when able), rather than passed by just because some group of touchy-feely types can't handle that someone is unhappy with something they like.
This isn't Patreon, Squeen isn't a starving artist. They're going to be fine.

It's not something that's relegated to SE. You have veteran workers in the restaurant and retail industry up and quitting their jobs because people have just become so nasty. Blame it on social media, the echo chambers, the assumption that everyone needs to be perfect and aren't allowed to make mistakes, and the collective narcissism of society's various groups. Humans have never been good. We're a selfish, cruel lot that throws tantrums whenever something doesn't go our way. I only see it getting worse as people become more disconnected from each other. Even if there's a reasonable, logical explanation for the troubles a place is experiencing, people just don't care. There's so many shortages in the food industry where they can't get product from distributors and people throw a fit because they can't get their croissant or whatever. It's ridiculous.

Kinda makes you wish for a Final Days in the real world.

Sure, if you just completely ignore that they had years to plan for this and plenty of market and trend data to justify hardware purchases long before this "shortage" and the world treating a runny nose like Black Plague 2.0.
