Ok, and as I can tell, they HAVE provided the "product" you guys are screaming for. Are they supposed to be clairvoyant? See into the future? Last I checked, people aren't clairvoyant. So, pray tell what have they NOT provided? They explained what was going on a while ago. No one reads though. Last I checked not really any stability issues when I WAS on. And yes, I will be a fanboy for a company that actually cares. Not my fault everyone else just rolls in, and expects perfection when people are not perfect. Humans are fallible. Last I checked, game developers aren't gods? But, yes, bash me for fanboying for a game and a company I love and have supported FOR YEARS. It's ok for everyone to fanboy, but, when someone else does it, it's a crime. So, again, tell me, what have they NOT provided? Other than entitled selfish people caring about only THEIR play time, I still see the product they promised, not their fault there's a shortage, and I don't know a 6 month to a year wait list. And go look up the prices to rent game servers right now. That's the people you need to be screaming at, not people making a video game and doing the best they can. But, none of this matters cause everyone only sees hate now, and only screams and cries when they don't get what they want. I'll gladly wait in queue for a game I love. I don't complain about the wait, cause hey, at least I CAN play. It's not like they charged you and then shut everything down and said ok, bye!

I think they should have had some foresight, when the servers were already full before EW even released, that they may need to adjust things. There was a huge influx of players when the WoW crowd jumped ship and came over. As it stands, I'm not even mad about the queue times, every game has those at launch of a new expansion. I am, however, annoyed by the 2002 error that makes waiting in a queue for 3-4 hours pointless sometimes. I do think people have the right to be upset that their time is wasted. And yes, when you wait in a queue for several hours expecting to get to play, and are kicked to the back of the queue by a 2002 error, it SHOULD upset you.Ok, and as I can tell, they HAVE provided the "product" you guys are screaming for. Imagine being at Disney World, and waiting in a 3-4 hour line to ride a ride. You get near the front of the line, then BAM, security randomly grabs you and forces you to the back of the line without an explanation. People would be infuriated. And you defending SE for this is like someone standing at the back of the line telling people "You can't be mad at Disney, Karen, Grow up and realize that crap happens". If someone did that, they'd promptly get throttled.

They knew it was happening and ordered more parts in spring. Guess what, though? They haven’t come yet. How far back were they supposed to guess?
They don't have to be clairvoyant, they have to have a brain and compare the number under "server capacity" chart and the number under "units of Endwalker sold" chart. If B > A then you need to do something fast or apologize and issue refunds.
Considering we had a mass exodus from another MMO and a population explosion mere months before the expansion launch, and Semiconductors are on a 6-12 month waitlist right now, it'd be genuinely impossible to do anything other than apologize and try to weather the storm with what you have in their shoes
considering the current wait times for hardware they'd have needed to know about this population explosion a year+ ago which just isn't really feasible to think about, that doesn't excuse that things are shaky right now but you work with what you've got and they're stretching what they have as thin as possible to get as many people in as they can with their current hardware and netcode, and i'll say as someone who's gotten to play, when you get in, it's very stable, more stable than any other mmo i've ever played at launch, it's pretty clear to me they've picked their comfortable capacity that they get as many people in for the best experience possible without being detrimental to the overall gameplay experience of those inside
I am an extremely casual player. Extremely casual. I have three young children and log in at highly sporadic times.
The game is effectively unplayable to me. If I get an hour to play and it has to happen now, then I'm literally not playing this game.
To answer your questions specifically:
1. What have they NOT provided? A game that I can log into and play when I'm able to do so. This is how services work. When a business doesn't provide a service when it's convenient to the customer, then they're effectively not providing the service.
2. Are they supposed to be clairvoyant? This is very ignorant. You don't need to be a prophet to forsee this problem. You need to care enough to resolve the issue in the months leading up to release. They didn't do that.
It's disappointing but players like me are just left with a purchase we can't enjoy. Again, I don't have the luxury of time, so pretending like I'm being "impatient" and it's my fault for expecting to be able to play approximately when I want is gaslighting.
You seem to be the one filled with hate against your fellow players. People are justifiably upset. Stop discriminating and name calling and walk away. That's the people you need to be screaming at, not people making a video game and doing the best they can. But, none of this matters cause everyone only sees hate now, and only screams and cries when they don't get what they want. I'll gladly wait in queue for a game I love. Imagine reading and agreeing to the Terms of Service and still thinking they're owed 100% connectivity whenever they want. You *did* read it, right? https://support.na.square-enix.com/r...2&tag=users_en
