I can believe I am agreeing 100% with one of your posts. So queues aside which are a major issue it is a pure masterpiece. I had little confidence they could followup Shadowbringers because I have never seen an MMO developer one up themselves after putting up a great release or expansion.
It is inconceivable this was done in 2 years since they launched Shadowbringers. The size is just ridiculous and makes Shadowbringers look small in comparison.
They keep just one upping themselves in the MSQ. Everytime something epic happens it is followed by something even more EPIC.
what did you do with the real Puremallace?
I've finished the MSQ and it's ok. I didn't enjoy the story as much as 5.0 but it did have a few moments but also some huge letdowns. Had major KH feels playing through this.

My wife and I and very happy with the journey , sure we skipped some slow drinking tea cut scenes but the overall story was beautiful. To the Devs the artists the sounds guys Thank You for the wonderful experience. It’s tarnished by the disconnects and log in ques my wife got disconnected right b4 the final boss with a 6000 person que after just being in a 2hr que totally jerked us out of the immersion. I logged off after because I don’t wanna finish without her it would just be hollow without her after the whole journey maybe tomorrow.

The game is a masterpiece, but service from which this masterpiece was served is a picture drawn from a 6 year old child.
- Average one and half hour to able to login.
- Multiples 2002 errors while trying to make login and start queue all over again.
- Multiples 9001 errors during the game.
I hope Square Enix executives get an 2002 error when they try to login in the bank accounts, because it seems its all that matters for them.

I agree, error code 2002 is a masterpiece. Well done SE. Bravo. /golfclap

I am actually excited over the escort stuff and not because of what it is but what it can be in the future. Little by little they are really making it a more single-player experience while still having an MMO alongside it.

I liked it very much, reminded me of the party following you on the map and stuff like that. Very FF classic feeling. I don't need 1,000 escort missions in a general sense, like an escort FATE or something, but I absolutely loved the touch and I DO want to see ideas expand on it (just like I want to see the trust system itself expand). Would also encourage some touches of FFXV's traveling, camping, that it had. There were a few issues I had with the game (FFXV), but my favorite part was the whole journey with your friends, camp, cooking, talking thing. I do want to like my companions lol, and systems like that help a lot.
While I'm sure some cock their head sideways at the thought the more I play FFXIV the more I'm sold that an MMORPG is a unique avenue in telling an excellently epic scale sRPG like experience (which isn't to say remove the multiplayer aspects, just that existing within the multiplayer game could be this grand narrative that is very sRPG inspired and potentially sRPG player welcoming).

Shadowbringer was already 1/5 but Endwalker - oof - this cringeworthy and facepalm inducing excuse of a plot suitable for children morning cartoons.. especially then ending... can't say it was worth of its price. So queues aside which are a major issue it is a pure masterpiece. But each to their own I guess. I'm glad that you enjoyed it, not so much for me.
My face when I had to endure the cutscenes, especially at the end:

This basically, never got the hype around a story. I guess it's good for an MMO if that's all you play though.
